16 year-old Kim Taehyung is not someone you would call a regular person

While others experience the feeling of being a teenager, which is the period of your life when you become an emotional roller coaster, He wasn't doing the same thing.

Taehyung couldn't feel anything
Nothing at all.

No happiness, No sadness, No anger. No nothing.
He didn't even remember having feelings at all in his life.

He always had an expressionless look on his face
He was always sitting alone. He wasn't in the mood of socializing with people really.

That scared the doctors because they'd never seen anything like it before.
His parents were freaked out about it as well.

However that didn't last long.
His mother died a little after he was born due to health problems of her own.
His father couldn't take care of Taehyung by himself so he send him to an orphanage when he was only two months old. It's not that he didn't love him. He just wasn't able to raise him.

Months passed. No one wanted to adopt Taehyung. Looking into his eyes and seeing the emptiness in them made them afraid of that child.

Taehyung was 10 months old when he finally got adopted by a lovely person.

He felt sad for the poor boy and he didn't want him to grow up in an orphanage
Because he knew exactly how having no family felt.

So he took Taehyung and treated him as if he was his own child.

Sure he was a bit weirded out by the fact Taehyung didn't emote but he didn't think it was something that he should worry much about.
He thought it would be something temporary and that as he grew up he would heal.

A few years later Baekhyun found his significant other.

Park Chanyeol. Who he loved very much.

Chanyeol loved Baekhyun and he wanted to be a good father to Taehyung.

However, unlike his husband, Chanyeol was worried about Taehyung's strange behavior.

He wanted to do anything to help him live a normal life.
And he did

For a big part of his childhood, Taehyung could only remember doctors, hospitals, examinations, therapy sessions.

He still couldn't be fixed.

No one knew what Taehyung suffered from

He was finally diagnosed with a really rare condition of Alexythmia, a mental illness characterized by the subclinical inability to identify and describe emotions in the self and having difficulty in distinguishing and appreciating the emotions of others, which is thought to lead to unempathic and ineffective emotional responding. However, this rare condition Taehyung suffered from could also lead to psychotic and overall violent behavior if he ever experienced a strong feeling.

The psychologist who made the diagnosis , Mr. Park, was kind of afraid talking to Taehyung. Seeing his empty doll eyes. He actually feared for his life whenever he remarked Taehyung's "faults".
Something that Taehyung never forgot.
