Nyree
I shuffled through the living room, gathering up my clothes, while trying to clean up and get rid of the smell of sex before my Dad got in the house. I don't even know why he's over here uninvited. He should have called before he came over, so then I wouldn't have gotten things started with TJ.
"Shit," I mumbled once I heard the doorbell rang. I sprayed tons of room spray all over the room, just trying to mask the odor for a little while. "Coming!" I yelled running to the door. There was only so much I could do before he began getting suspicious. Shit. Maybe I'll even be able to blame it on Mama and Trey. Daddy would probably believe me though.
I pulled the door open and Daddy stood in front of me with his arms folded. "Who just left this house?" He asked, pushing past me as he walked inside. "N-Nobody's been here but me. What are you talking about?" "I'm not stupid Ree. I saw some boy walking out of this house right before I got here. What have you been up to?" He asked.
I smiled. "Oh yeah! I forgot my friend Romel was just over. You remember him, right?" "Yeah I remember him but from what I remember, he looks nothing like the person I saw walking out of here. Does your Mother know you've got niggas up in this house while she's away?" He asked, sitting down on the couch but he quickly stood back up.
"I didn't have anybody here except for Mel Daddy," I replied, watching as he dug around in the seat cushions. He pulled his hand back, holding my bra in his hands. "Care to tell me what this is doing down here?" Fuck. "I-I was changing clothes." "Stop all of that damn lying. You been having sex in this house while your Mother's at work?"
I sighed. "No Da--" "You know what, I don't even want to hear you come up with another lie. I know what you were doing here and I don't think it's cute. You're my little girl, Ree. You shouldn't be sleeping around," He said, sounding so disappointed and hurt. I sighed. "I'm sorry."
"So, you are sleeping around?" I hesitated before slowly nodding my head, yes. There's no use in continuing to lie to him when he already knows that I am sleeping around. I'm just glad he doesn't know who I'm sleeping around with. He'd kill me, Mama and bury Trey for putting his hands on me and for lying to him and my Mama.
"Damn. You're my little girl." "I know but I'm growing up," I replied. "And you shouldn't be sleeping around." "I don't technically sleep around Daddy. It's only him." "S-So, you've only been sleeping with this guy? When did you lose it?" He asked. I sighed and looked down at my hands, not knowing if I should tell him the truth.
"You aren't gonna tell Mama, are you?" I asked. "If you don't want me to, I won't." "Okay, well please don't." "I promise I won't. This conversation is gonna stay between the two of us Ree," He replied. "Well I lost it last year in tenth grade to Mel." He sighed. "Damn Nyree. You been using protection?" "Of course. I don't wanna get pregnant."
"Good because there's no babies coming up in this house until you're married and gone to college. How's school been going for you?" He asked. "It's alright, just been kind of boring lately though. I need some excitement." "Well I know you'll be off on Spring Break next week and I was thinking about the two of us getting away for a few days. We can go down to my beach house in Key West. How does that sound?"
"Just the two of us?" I asked, making sure his bitch of a girlfriend wasn't going to tag along. "Me, you, Ashley, your Mom and that little boy she's dating. What's his name, Trevor, Tracey?" I laughed. "His name is Trey Daddy and I thought it was just the two of us? Why does Ashley have to come with us?" I asked, knowing she was just going to be there trying to be my Mother and hogging my Dad.
He sighed. "Because that's my girlfriend and I want the two of you to spend some more time together before y'all automatically start hating each other," He replied. "I don't like her though. She's always trying to act like Mama. I don't need another Mom." "I'm sure she's only being nice Ree, that's all." I folded my arms. "I don't think so," I mumbled.
"Whatever. Just pack some things for Key West because you're going, whether Ashley's going or not." I rolled my eyes and sat back against the chair I was in. "Whatever," I mumbled. "Are you going to be leaving soon?"
He looked over at me and shook his head, before loosening his tie. "Nope. I'm going to stay here with you until your Mother gets back home," He replied, making himself comfortable on the couch.

I took a deep breath and began slowly walking over to Romel. He was talking to Pressure, but I could tell the conversation was just about to end. I slowed down and practically stood there just watching them when I felt somebody come up behind me. I quickly turned around and found Terrance standing there, putting his arm around my shoulder.
"What's up Ree? You just disappeared on me after I dropped you off here," He said, being completely oblivious to me starring at Mel and his dog, Pressure. "I know. I thought you had some business or something to take care of, so I just left. I didn't want to be in your way," I replied.
"Nah you're good. You could have stayed 'cause I ain't have nothing to take care of this morning but I do this afternoon," He said, dropping me off at my locker. He leaned against the locker next to mine as he watched me pull out the books I needed and put away the ones that weren't so necessary. "What's going on this afternoon?" I asked.
"Me and my boys are rolling up on a couple of guys that owe us some money." "Don't fight them Terrance. They aren't worth it," I told him but he only sighed. "They might not be worth it but I don't like niggas fucking around with my money. You feel me?" "Yeah, I do. Just be careful, alright?" He flashed me his smile, that always made me melt.
"Of course. I'm always careful, just don't worry about me. Me and my niggas always stay strapped. We got each others backs baby. You coming with?" He asked. "I'm not tryna fight nobody Terrance." He smacked his lips. "Of course you ain't fighting nobody. I'll kill a nigga if he put his hands on you but I want to take you back to my crib this afternoon. Just meet me at my car at the end of the day," He said.
I zipped up my bag and closed my locker just as the bell rang. "Alright. I'll meet you there. You coming to class today?" I asked. "Nah. I got some shit to take care of today." "Okay, see you later TJ." He gave me a quick kiss on the lips before the two of us walked in opposite directions to get to our destination. I knew just by how slow I was walking that I was going to be late to class but I really didn't even care today. I should just skip like Terrance, since I knew we probably weren't gonna be doing anything.
I turned the corner and was in an empty hall but I could hear yelling coming from the other end. I picked up my pace and stuck my head around the corner of the opposite hallway. Mel's mother stood in front of him, yelling in his face about something but I just couldn't hear what it was about. I inched closer around the corner but that's when I saw my Mom walking down the other end of the hall.
What the hell is she doing here? I thought to myself. "Hey. What's going on?" My Mom asked walking up to Mrs. Jacobs and Mel. "Well I just got a call from Nyree's father early this morning talking about how the two of them have been sleeping together."
Fuck. I knew I shouldn't have trusted my Dad.

I know this was boring but this story is getting kind of boring. I'm almost stuck with like EVERY chapter but I don't want to put it on hold. I just have so much for this story but now's not the right time for those chapters. I don't want everything to happen too quickly in this story but then again this could be one of those short 12-15 chapter stories, or maybe even 10 chapters. I don't know, but it won't be extremely long.
