The last student had been sorted (Zavier, Cressidy, RAVENCLAW) and the last dessert eaten and Hermione sat in her seat feeling content.
"I can't believe this is the last start-of-year feast we'll ever attend" Hermione sighed
"I'll miss Hogwarts" said Ron, her boyfriend. Harry was silent, staring ahead, his arm around Ginny. After all Hogwarts was the only home he'd ever known, and they only had a year left. Suddenly 12 months didn't seem that long.
"Everyone except 7th years will return to their dormitories, prefects please take the first-years to their dorms. Professor McGonagall's voice sliced the air. Once everyone had filed out, the Headmistress began to speak.
"To repopulate the wizarding world a new law has being passed. You all must be married in a month" She was met with stares of disbelief. " You can choose but" Hermione held her breath "It must be someone you absolutely hate.
"Goodbye Ron" thought Hermione as she met the cold grey eyes of the boy she hated most "Hello Draco"
