Chapter 1 - New Beginning

Hi guys. So this is my first story..I hope you guys like at much as i do :)

Chapter 1 - New Beginning

I just remember his green eyes. And, obviously, the blood in his mouth. Oh. What happened? I can tell you but i have to start from the beginning.

 -  2 months ago - 

My name is Sara. I'm 19 years old and right now i'm sitting on a plane going to Glasgow in Scotland. Why am i going to Glasgow? Well. I'm originally from Portugal but 2 years ago i decided i wanted to study in Scotland. I blame the books i started to read around that time called "The Highlander's" ahah.

My parents didn't understand why was i going to study abroad when i could stay home with them. Going to Scotland wasn't the same as going to Spain or France. I had to take 4 flight if i wanted to come home and visit. 

My life until now was pretty boring.  I was the perfect student with perfect grades. I didn't go to parties or drank alcohol..I'm not saying that my parents didn't allow me, i just didn't fit in. I never even had a boyfriend or had my first kiss and i was 19 already..I always felt that my life never really began. I hoped that changing countries would start that process we called "life" because mine had been stuck for almost 19 years.

Why Glasgow you ask? My sister was working there. She was my best friend. We were 5 years apart but i always felt we were the same age. We had our fights and disagreements but we were always there for each other.

My sister had a huge fight with our parents 2 years ago and since then they have been talking through Skype every 4 weeks. "How are you" questions and "I'm ok" answers were part of their routine. I missed having my family together. My sister hasn't spent Christmas with us in 2 years. 

I will be staying at my sister's place for the next 4 years. I'm so excited! Ok i'm also very very nervous but that is part of the experience right? I don't want to repeat the same mistakes i did at home so will try my best to change.

My sister is picking me up at the Airport. I'm feeling like a zombie. I was feeling tired, sleepy and most of all hungry from the flights. I asked one of the flight attendants to help me with my luggage since i wasn't felling very well. 

I got out of the plane and took a deep breath. It was cold. It was really really cold and it was raining a little bit. I got to the airport lounge and looked around.

"Sara!!" i heard someone calling my name and knew instantly who was it. I looked back and saw my sister waving at me.

"Oh! I missed you!! how was the flight? I'm so happy you're here!" she asked while hugging me a little bit too tight. 

Lectures start in two days so i need to prepare myself for all the "University life" now.

We had to take the train to the city center and that took 45minutes. When i got to my sister's flat i was exhausted. My sister took me to my new bedroom and i immediately layed in my new bed. I knew my sister was still talking to me, but my mind started drifting and i fell asleep.
