Chapter one- birthday bliss

(
Yes I'm aware all pages chapters are on one page, deal with it 😂)

I woke up staring at the ceiling. Tracing the pattern of the white bumpy roof with my eyes, feeling bored. "Just another boring  day" I muttered to myself.  I looked around my room staring at all of my furniture. My Snow White rug, soft and the kind that tickles your feet when you walk across it. My white wooden shelfs, cluttered with all sorts of horse related things bringing colour to the room. Horse ribbons, trophies, horse models, horse books, all that sort of stuff. Pictures of me at my local stables. It always made me smile, I loved that place.

I began thinking for a moment. A smile spreading from one corner of my mouth to the other. "It's my birthday!" I squealed. I heard my door creak open, I looked over a little startled. "Happy birthday hon!" It was my mum. A cheerful woman, brown hair that was always curled, with emerald green eyes, fair skin, and always smiley. "I can't believe that your 16, my little girl!" "Mummm" I sighed, smiling too.

She took her hands away from her back, handing me a little present in pink gift wrap and a white bow. "Open it then!" She whispered smiling. "Thanks mum" I said smiling at her. I clutched the present and began tearing at the paper. I could see red, a long strip of red attached to more strips of red, I opened more of the gift, as it revealed a thin but large silver ring. I was confused at first, until I pulled it out of the packet and held it above me. "A halter?" I said smiling and my face showing a puzzled look. Mum said nothing but smiled "come" she told me smiling, as she led me downstairs.

Chapter two-gifts,gifts and more gifts

"Happy birthday Bella!" My dad and brother said I'm sync. "Thanks guys!"
I looked down to see a pile of colourful presents, reds, greens, pinks, Blues,  patterns, bows, The lot. I started by opening a blue parcel with a beautiful elegant bow on. The label read: "to Bella, hope this will help you out!" I looked confused. I glanced at my family then glanced back at the parcel  to open it. I started un tying the bow and tearing at the paper. I saw bristles, pink and white patterns backed into a hard plastic surface, it was a brush, with a horse logo imprinted on it. "A horse brush?" I said smiling and surprised. My family smiled and looked at the presents, hinting me to open more.
Next I picked up a green parcel, pulling out a pink photo frame. I ran my fingers across the smooth wood. It had a label attatched, reading "for many memorable moments to come" I raised one eyebrow looking confused at my family again.

"These are just a few gifts, Bella. " my dad told me giving a wide grin. "Yes. Your main present is... somewhere else... we need to drive there." Mum said in excitement.

"Okay!" I told them puzzled but excited
"In fact, lets go now." My family climbed into the black jeep, for once it was very shiny. I put my seat belt on listening to the satisfying click, then I stared out the window wondering where I was going.

"Almost here now Bella" my mum called waking me up of my fantasies of what it could be.
We pulled up to a beautiful stables. A beautiful building made of birch wooden planks, symmetrical gardens of trees and flowers either side, with padlocks all around holding beautiful thoroughbreds, Clydesdales, freisans, haflingers, every type of horse I could imagine. I was in awe, it was beautiful.

Chapter three- the stables
I hopped out the car listening to my feet crunch again the the gravel. I looked around with my mouth wide open at the beauty of this place. Infront of the stables was a beautiful fountain with a horse on top. My mum came and tapped my shoulder waking me up from my trance. "Do you know why we are here Bella?" She whispered. "I... -it can't- it can't be-" I stuttered.
"Have a guess Bella."
"Surely it can't be a horse... can it?"
Mum smiled. "Follow me Bella"
I followed my family into the stables. Surrounded by horses snorting, neighing and giving out little whinnies. We stopped at an end stall, in the stall was a beautiful jet black, slender and tall freisan. Perfect shape, and the best part about him was his mane, long, really long, curly waves of black silk. I was in awe. The horse turned to me with his beautiful jet black eyes and sniffed the palm of my hand.
"Bella, meet Apollo. He is your horse now." Mum said in delight.
"My horse?" I screamed in happiness.
"Your horse." Mum said happily.
I ran over to hug Apollo.

One month later:
So here I am. A month later with my beautiful boy Apollo. We have an incredible bond now, we've mastered trot, cancer, gallop and even small jumps now, he trusts me like I trust him. I love him so much- oh, that's my mum, got to go see Apollo now, talk later!

"Bella! Hurry you need to feed Apollo!" Mum shouted from downstairs.
"I'm coming!" I said as I grabbed my helmet. I climbed into the car and we drove to the stables. I stared out the window smiling to myself daydreaming about all the tricks and moves that me and Apollo could learn together. Before I knew it we had arrived, I hopped out the car running towards Apollos stall. I squeezed him a hug, then I went over to get his feed. As I was filling his food bucket Apollo stuck his head over my shoulder watching me pour it. "Hey boy" I laughed as I stroked his mane out his eyes.
"Ready for a ride?" I whispered into his ears. I walked over to his tack locker and grabbed his black leather bridle. Shiny glossy black leather that was smooth to your touch, I also grabbed his black leather saddle which matched his bridle, coming with a white fur saddle pad. He looked very elegant in my opinion. I grabbed him under his chin and led him on to the out door padock.

Chapter four- the padock
I swung my leg over Apollos back, mounting his saddle. I adjusted the stirrups, grabbed my reins and clicked with my tongue gesturing for him to walk on. Earlier that morning, I had laid out some trotting poles so we could focus on his legs. "Ready, boy?" I said patting him and lining him up. "Lets go" I shouted as I trotted over the poles, with each of his feet perfectly fitting between each one. "Amazing, Apollo!" I told him, after practicing the same exercise over and over.

After we had finished training I took Apollo back to his stall and I untacked him, carrying the tack back to the locker then returning to my beautiful horse. I ran my fingers through his mane and smiled at him, then I fetched his blanket. "Incase you get cold." I whispered as I slid on the yellow and black blanket. I attached all the buckles to one another, then I ran my hands over his slender body fixing any creases.
