Kate was born October 3rd, 2001 in Lakewood Colorado. Before she was born doctors noticed she had extra bones, but the doctors couldn't figure out if this would be a threat to the little baby or to the mother during birth. Everything turned out okay though the baby was healthy but, doctors rushed the baby away to learn more about her extra bones. To their surprise she was born with wings, but the doctors had never seen something like this before. Kate's mother wouldn't let them do tests or try to remove the wings, she wanted her daughter to be different and not have scars from a surgery. When Kate arrived home her older brother Alex was so happy he wanted to hold her and play with her. They were a very happy family and the little angel in their lives always gave them something to smile about. Alex was 3 years old at the time but he understood that he had to be careful with little Kate and quiet when she was sleeping. He also understood that daddy had to help mommy sometimes so they couldn't always play with him as much, but mommy's friend had a little son so Alex got to play with him. Alex never felt like he was getting any less love bc mommy would let him help sometimes. Kate's sleep schedule was good she didn't wake up much in the middle of the night, and she didn't cry that much. The family wasn't rich or poor they had a good bit of money and they couldn't see anything bad that could happen they were just so happy they put it off, and went on with a smile.
