My World

Chapter 1

"N-No! I don't want to! P-Please just stop and let me go!" My shouts of protest where useless as I was already halfway down the hallway, forcing every step I took. The guards behind me pushing me to go faster, burning me with the silver rings they had on each finger. "Shut up and keep walking. Someone's finally come for you. What would you rather do, stay here?" I shook my head violently, this place was horrible. The cells, the smell, the people. The sudden thought of my cell made me remember Una. I had woken up in a metal room before I was cleaned and dressed, they must've left Una in there by herself. "Where is Una?" I looked at both guard that were stood beside me. They didn't speak for a few moments until I asked again, "You ask too many questions. Now, here we are." They pushed me out the front door, the light blinding me and slightly burning on my skin.

I didn't have a lot of time to admire the light before a dark blanket was thrown over me and I was being led to somewhere else. For a few minutes I obeyed this and let them lead me until I threw the blanket from my face to the ground, running off into the distance. My legs ached from the lack of food and my speed wasn't very fast, up against a healthier person, my attempts to run would look like jogs, but this was as fast as I could go.

Multiple times I swore someone was chasing me but I was too scared to turn around and look. I eventually found myself in a forest, the leaves brushed against my dirty skin and caught my matted, unbrushed hair. My best bet at this point was to shift, maybe I could find someone who could help me. I didn't know wether my wolf would be strong enough to run as she hasn't been let out in years, but I let her out anyways. I shifted into a small, pitch black wolf, my speed increasing by a ton and my senses tingling.

I couldn't sense anyone behind me so I stopped to rest, the lack of food and water made me tired and weak. I shifted to normal, my clothes had been torn during shifting so I walked around naked, my long black hair covering my chest. I continue to walk for a bit. I screamed when my foot went straight through a sharp stick, sticking out of the dirt. I began to cry in pain as blood seeped out, my body falling the the ground. I was too tired, too scared and too thirsty to keep myself aware.

After being led there for a while, I saw two tall, blurry figures approach me. I couldn't make out their voices, my vision got blurrier and my head started to go all fuzzy, the next thing I knew I was surrounded by an unwelcoming darkness.

"Is she alive?"

"Yes, she is. Although she is dehydrated and looks like she hasn't eaten in a while."

"Hm." I could hear two voices talking not that far from me. I dared not to move, who knows what they are going to do to me. I shuffled a little to feel soft sheets beneath and above me, the smell of dark chocolate lingered around the room, making my stomach groan in hunger. I wiggled my toes and fingers, my foot stinging from my movement, making me flinch and cry out. Almost immediately, the two voices stopped and I felt a presence behind me. "Are you awake miss?" I didn't say a word but responded in a slight nod. My eyes fluttered open, the light blinding me as I covered my eyes with my hands. "Oliver, get her some food and a drink."

"Sure thing," one of the voices, who I assume is Oliver, left the room. I sit up and adjust my eyes to the light. The walls where white with a few beds places up against them, there where doctors on a tray near me and two doors, one which must be an exit and another which must lead to another room. I look down at myself to find myself in a hospital gown, I quickly look towards the man knelt down near me. "What's your name?" I hesitates for a second before answering, "K-Kacie... my names Kacie." He smiled, "hello Kacie, my name is Harry, I'm the doctor here." My eyes focused on his facial features, he was in the 30's, he was bold with Hazel eyes. The bold one is Harry, got it.
