Chapter One: Back Again

Dipper's POV 

As I step off of the bus, I hold Mabel's hand. She had a large smile on her face, and her eyes were a little watery. As my sneakered feet hit the ground, I hear a satisfying crunch of the leaves and dirt beneath me. 

"Dipper, come on!" Mabel says happily. 

"I'm coming Mabel!" I say in return. She drags me into the forest and we walk down an already memorized path. Once we arrive at the Shack, we see Stan, Ford, Wendy, Sood, and Pacifica standing on the porch. 

"GRUNCLE STAN! FORD! HIIIIIIII!!!" Mabel yells at the top of her lungs. She tackles Stan with a hug and he ruffles her hair. 

"Hey, I missed ya kiddo!" He says. I awkwardly wave at Stan and Ford, along with everyone else. 

"Here's your hat back!" Wendy says and I feel the hat on my head being removed. It is then replaced with my pine tree hat. 

"Thanks Wendy," I say. She nods and goes to hug Mabel. Pacifica pokes my shoulder. 

"Hey, Dipper, um...Welcome back!"she says. The slightest tint of pink blanketed her unblemished cheeks. 

"Thanks Pacifica! Its good to be back, and I'm happy we won't be leaving this time," I gave her a smile. 

Suddenly, we heard a large moving truck drive by. Everyone, including me, turned around to see a Moving Van and a small black car trailing behind it. They drove down the path and onto the woods..not too far away from the Shack. 

"I wonder who they are," Pacifica stated what I'm sure we were all thinking. 

"Yeah..." I mumbled. We all headed inside and sat down in the living room. I, being the unsocial blob I am, went to my room(the attic). Mabel had the secret room. 

I set my back pack and suitcase on my bed and began to unpack.

I'm starting a new life here. I will make it better. I'll make friends, maybe get a girlfriend or boyfriend. 

Just leave your old life behind, Dipper. You are not Mason Pines, you are Dipper Pines.

Everything is going to be great!
