Chapter 3

'I'm done.'

Kai looked up to see Kyungsoo holding two different piles of paperwork in each hand. It had only been 4 hours and he already finished everything, which took Kai by surprise.

'Are you sure you didn't forget anything?' He asked softly, moving his chair in order to face him and not the computer.

'Yes, triple checked. I also wrote everything on my laptop and forwarded it to you via e-mail Mr. K- I mean Kai.' Kyungsoo replied and the latter checked his email.

'Ah, yeah there it is.' He motioned at the computer and started skimming through it.

'Feel free to criticise my work and request possible changes.' Kyungsoo politely said and Kai smiled.

'I'm sure it's perfect.' He said and it made Kyungsoo smile, flustered. Even Baekhyun doesn't compliment his work like that, although he reads it. The thing about him is that if you comment His appearance he doesn't feel a thing, but complimenting his intelligence hits the lotto (😏).

'Thank you...'

After a moment of silence Kai got up and walked towards the hanger and grabbed his coat. Kyungsoo turned around to look at him, confused.

'Get your coat as well Soo, it's going to be chilly outside.'

'Where are we going?' The latter asked, still confused of the sudden plan.

'I have a meeting with a CEO from China. We're meeting her at restaurant Rosé (idk where that came from, I just thought that french names sounded fancy 😂). Don't forget to take notes as I need them for the review.' He quickly replied while fetching his car keys, followed by Kyungsoo who was doing just as told.

When they got to the car (which looked pretty expensive unsurprisingly), kai as the gentleman he is, opened the door for Kyungsoo and held his hand in order to make it easier for him to get in. After both of them got inside and put their seat belts, Kai started pressing the touch screen and set the location on the navigator.

'Now, have you had a check in the database of every partner of our company?' Kai asked, while turning on the car and smoothly getting out of the parking space.

'Yes, already memorised all of it.' Kyungsoo casually replied, making Kai smile and mutter 'as expected'.

'Tell me about Amber.'

Kyungsoo took a deep breath and tried to remember every detail.
'Professional name: Amber, Full Name: Amber Josephine Liu, Age:25, Gender: Female, Sexuality: Unknown, Likes: inspirational lyric, likes movies preferably gay ones, a social activist, likes good and mocking humour.
Hates: inequality, playboys/fuckboys, people mocking her sense of style...'

'That's enough, thank you Soo.' Kai flashed him a quick smile before taking a turn after passing the traffic light, thus arriving at the place they were meant to be. 'Now let's make things clear.' Kai turned of the car and faced Kyungsoo. 'We're a couple.'

'Um, no we're not.' Kyungsoo replied bluntly.

'Well we need to be, at least for this meeting.' He said in all seriousness.

'Why?!' He exlaimed.

'Because me being gay and in a relationship where I'm not afraid to show it, it's what will drive her to make this business deal. She supports gay people, end of story.' Kyungsoo sighed at this, understanding what Kai meant and accepting it.

'Fine, but no kissing like last time.' He said rolling his eyes and was reluctant to get out of the car, but did so anyway.

Before entering the restaurant Kai stopped him in order to fix his hair and tie. 'Here, hold my hand, it'll be more credible...unless you don't feel comfortable with it.' Kyungsoo just grabbed his hand, turning his head to the side to avoid eye contact as well as increasing the distance between them. This just made Kai melt from the inside, although he knew it was just for show.
