Haunted Dreams

Chapter 2

Luigi woke to Ashley's disappearance. He looked around in fear, "Ashley!? ASHLEY!?" His head whipped around as he looked for her. Ashley suddenly tapped his back, "I'm here." Luigi calmed himself. She was okay. This little stranger was okay. Luigi put his shaking hands on his chest. His heartbeat returned.

  Ashley looked at him, "I'm sorry if I scared you. I just wanted to make you breakfast." She showed him a silver plate. It was covered with all sorts of food such as pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, and a large bowl of cereal. Luigi's mouth was watering. He had never seen so much breakfast on one platter! Especially when it was just for him.

Luigi smiled, "Is this all for....me?" He reached for the plate. Ashley smiled sweetly, "Of course! I'm not that hungry." Luigi looked at her, "Thanks so much!!!" He took the plate and began to eat. Ashley smiled as she thought, Of course, I only need your brother as an ingredient for my potion. He's just right for it, but....maybe this green one is good enough to use. I'll just have to wait and see. Luigi kept eating and eating. Ashley stared at him in a sort of disgust. She turned away to grab her wand from the floor. Luigi finished the plate and looked at Ashley with a kind smile.

Ashley was a mess. She was covered in raw eggs and batter. Luigi smiled and grabbed one of his lime green shirts. Luigi put it on the bed. It helplessly flopped on the bed, unfolding itself in response. Luigi picked it back up and put it on Ashley, magically switching with her little dress. She looked upset at him for taking her dress. Her big amber eyes became thin red slits. Luigi looked scared, "Wh-what? I'm just going to w-wash it!" He ran off, trembling. Ashley didn't even know what to say.

Ashley oddly liked Luigi's shirt. It was just the right size for her to wear as a dress. She didn't want to admit the thought but she was thinking it. She made her way downstairs.
