Surrey, England a few weeks later
The Surrey police department had been investigating the disappearance of John Mellor for a few weeks. They checked the record store only to find nothing. David told them to look harder and even tried to help. But he couldn't because they didn't want him to go missing as well. The police checked the record store again to find John's backpack with everything he needed for school in it. That made them think he was still in the area. So they searched only to find nothing. They were trying to get a hold of Mr and Mrs. Mellor but couldn't which worried them a bit.
On the boat a few weeks later which is the begining of Febuary
It had been weeks since John and Paul were on solid ground. They were glad when the boat landed. The boat landed on a private beach in Flordia. John and Paul were led off the boat and into a cabin a few miles away. They could barely stand from being out at sea for weeks. When they reached the cabin John and Paul noticed a lot more kids inside it. Paul stayed close to John. He figured John wouldn't let anything happen to him. And he was right. John even made sure Paul was close. The people who led them there left and the other kids just ignored them. They found a place to sit and as they went over to it the door swung open. The people from the boat came in and were grabbing random children. Two of them grabbed John and Paul. They were then led to a field where multiple airplanes were. The planes were cargo planes. The people led John and Paul onto one of the planes with at least four other kids. They sat down near the back of the plane.
"Stay here and don't speak," one of the people said just as John opened his mouth. John closed his mouth. Paul curled up into John and he wraped an arm around him. Within a few minutes the plane started up and was in the sky. Paul closed his eyes and buried his face in John, who held him closer.Los Angeles California, Febuary 1968
Officers Malloy and Reed hopped outta their cop car and went into the police station.
"Do you think we'll find the kidnappers?" Reed asked.
"If we don't more kids will go missing and probably turn up dead," Malloy replied.
"I can't believe people would do this," Reed sighed.
"I know. I feel the same way," Malloy replied as he opened the door and followed Reed inside. "Who's gonna tell the family?"
"I did it last time," Reed said. "It's your turn."
"Okay. You're getting the coffee then."
"Fair enough," Reed replied as he went to the break room for the coffee. Malloy sat at his desk and picked up the phone. He dialed the phone number and waited for someone to answer.
"Hello?" a woman answered.
"Hi this is Officer Pete Malloy. I'm with the Los Angeles Police Department. Is this the family of Oliver Adams?" Malloy said.
"Yes. Did you find him?" the woman replied. She sounded like she was gonna burst into tears at any moment.
"Yes we found him." Malloy said. He was choosing his next words carefully.
"Is he okay? Is be alive?"
"I'm very sorry to say that we found him dead," Malloy heard the woman burst into tears and cry.
"I really hope you catch the people that did this to my son. I will testify in court if it means that rotten person rots in jail," she said.
"We are working very hard on this case. We will catch whoever kidnapped Oliver and killed him. And they'll be put away for a very long time," Malloy assured her.
"Thank you, Officer," she said.
"Your welcome," Malloy said. They said their goodbyes and then hung up. Reed came right up to Malloy.
"Coffee might have to get pushed back," he said.
"Why?"
"Another kid."
"Oh I hope this one's alive."
"Me too."
