12:20am : Hurrying through the council estate, Her eyes didn't stray from the path, in hope to slip past the cluster of youths chatting amongst themselves. Clutching her bag closer to her side as she spun a left through the big swinging doors into the lobby, she exhaled as the doors slammed behind her.

"Still out of order?" Josie sighed as she walked past the broken lift,  preparring herself to climb the 10 flights of stairs, praying she didn't come across anyone unsavoury along the way.  She flicked the kettle switch down with her index finger, Reaching into the top cupboard and grabbing 2 mugs. She placed tea bags and a little sugar in each and twisted round to reach the under counter fridge for the milk. She impatiently tapped the work top waiting for the kettle to boil, as she poured the barely boiled water. She unlatched the door to the living room, picked up a mug in each hand and steadily walked towards the coffee table. upon closer inspection realising that it was cluttered with rolling papers, pouches of tobacco, filters, and mail. She huffed "Rob, Tea, He ya, take it!" Robert Unfolded himself as he stared at Josie with a blank expression. After the rude awakening, he hadn't heard her come in or what she had said but assumed it was about the tea as she was shoving the mug into his shaky hand, and sitting down beside him. They sat in silence, just watching the faulty screen flicker as they sipped from their mugs.

"You know we aren't going to meet rent again this month..." Josie whispered in her heavy Welsh accent. She pivoted her body towards Robert with a solemn face. He shot her a look "I don't wanna have this argument again Jo... you don't think I know it?! I work every day, sweating my  ass off for every penny i can get!" the words choked from his lungs. Josie placed her mug onto the side and shuffled closer, wrapped her arms around his and rested her cheek against his shoulder "I know it's always been a struggle... but we always get by, we always do...."
