"Ready?"

"R-r-ready Freddy!"

"Ready Freddy Spaghetti!"

"Ready, The Spine."

"Ready Freddy Spaghetti Negrete!!"

They went in.

It was a longer trip down than expected. They free-fell for ten minutes, before The Spine and Rabbit reached the ground, catching the humans. They were instantly greeted by a purplish-blue fog. What they saw though, in the mist, proved Peter correct; Hatchworth's Hatch had been distorted.

The objects he had taken in his sleep-hatchings were present...and floating. Some had actually sprouted legs and had taken to walking. Others merely levitated in the air, going this way and that leisurely, and some had actually morphed into one another.

Case point, a creature that bore resemblance to a toolbox walked by their feet, with several pencil ends sticking on it's top like a dinosaur.

The Spine whispered. "This is amazing."

"It breaks several laws of physics." Peter the Sixth chimed, pulling what looked to be an old guitar and drum fused together, from the air. "I...did not see this coming."

"Well The Spine, your hat should be here, if it hasn't fused with...like a dog or something." Rabbit said.

"I don't think Hatchy sleep-hatched any animals Rabbit."

"He might have."

"Well, you and Rabbit have fun, we'll see if we can find the source of Hatchworth's sleep-hatching." Peter said, release the guitar-drum back into the air.

"Sir. By how big that drumstick is, it might be safer to stick together." Walter Girl Carolina tried to reason, as said drumstick walked by. She turned onthe communication headpiece.

"Oh, alright. But like The Spine, I seriously doubt Hatchworth has hatched anything living. At most a few spiders or something." Peter said. "This is amazing, really. I hope this fog doesn't affect us. Who knows it may fuse our bodies together."

"...."

They hadn't thought of that.

"Speaking of, if anyone sees something that resembles an angry ball of energy, that's blue, don't hesitate to mention it. We might find the secret to all this sleep-hatch biz by introspecting it."

"That would be good." The Matter Master remarked as a blender with paper towel wings flew by his head.

"There's just soooo many ways to find a robot's core, I took the way that didn't involve entering this hatch when I fixed up Hatchworth." Peter went on as they walked forward.

"Wow." Was all Walter Girl Carolina said. Well it wasnt' all, it was quickly followed by, "Where's The Spine and Rabbit?"

"They-" Peter turned to no one. The silver and copper robots were gone. They had been there a minute ago. "Mr. David?"

"I thought they were up front..."

[-]

"The fog is getting thick, I think it's best we-"

"Who are you talking to?"

"You, Rabbit. And the others."

"They're gone."

"WHAT?!"

"They are gone...not behind me."

"For how long?" The Spine asked frantically.
