Amber||Origins (Transformers Prime)

chapter five

"Amber??" Amber turned to see the one person she was dying to see.

"Jack!!" She ran up to her big cousin and hugged the life out of him. Timmy cheered and ran to Jack and hugged him, too.

"You two know each other??" Optimus asked as Amber pulled away.

"He's family." She replied as she saw a small smile appear on Optimus' face.

"Where's Aunt June??" Amber asked while looking around.

"At work. We'll see her tonight though." Jack assured before a smile appeared on his face.

"Optimus, I'm detecting a energon signal in a mine 10 clicks north from our location." Ratchet stated as Amber looked at Jack.

"Let me guess, Energon is their blood??" Amber asked as Jack looked at her in shock.

"How did you know??"

"A wild guess. But honestly, I'm not sure how I know." Amber stated as she focused back into the conversation.

"Arcee, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, prepare to roll out. You will also be accompanied by a human."

"Suh-weet!!"

Amber turned behind her to see a Japanese girl with brown hair and pink highlights in it.

"And you are??"

"I'm Miko. Nice to meet you...uh..."

"Amber Brown." Miko raised her hand for a high five which Amber gladly took.

"Optimus said there were four humans that know about them. You're two, who are the other two??" Amber asked.

"I can answer that." Jack said.

"So the other two is a boy named Raf and then my mom." Jack said as Amber nodded.

"So, where's Raf??"

"At home sick. We were going to head there afterwards." Jack assured before heading towards Arcee.

"So, you and Jack are related??" Miko asked as Amber nodded.

"How??"

"We're cousins. We did use to spend time together when he and my aunt lived in Texas but moved away before preK ended. To Jasper."

"Why did they move??"

"Aunt June found a job in Jasper that was worth it."

Miko was unaware of what really was the reason why Jack and June moved away from Texas.

Amber never told anyone but her friend Rachel. The real reason why June and Jack moved was because June was being abused by her brother. Amber's father. Not only that, but Jack was being molested by her Dad.

Amber thought it was just a rumor until she saw it with her own eyes and couldn't do anything about it.

"Amber?? Amber!!"

Amber was snapped out of a trance as she looked at Miko.

"You okay?? You were crying."

Amber didn't notice until she saw something wet hit her hand.

In her palm was a single clear tear.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just a memory popped into my head that I didn't want to remember." Amber quickly said as she walked away, leaving Miko in a world of worry for her new friend.

"Amber, you will accompany Bumblebee, Arcee, and Bulkhead with Jack and Miko. You need more experience on our kind and it is best if you learn from them." Optimus stated to Amber as she acknowledged and walked up to Bumblebee.

"I guess we're partners for today, Bee."
