“Come, step up," you say with a grin,
And I stand upon the stool
“This rope will show the bounds of our Love."
Your smile takes mine for a fool
As you tie the noose, I look into your eyes,
Soft, and ever so clear
At the sight of mine, they turn to diamonds,
“Trust me, will you, dear?"
The diamonds turning to temptation and daggers,
I look down as your hands recede
Water under the bridge, my heart still quickens,
As I yearn for the comfort I need
Gracefully, you take four steps back,
Returning silence to its roar
“Of course you can have me, always my love,"
“Just step onto the floor."
Her grin is lost as my vision starts to blur,
My voice rings out, and I begin to cry
“I will not lift a single foot,"
“Without one last kiss Goodbye."
