Alexis' POV

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After I had found a shirt and shorts, I pinned up my hair into a ponytail and walked out of the room shyly. I don't do very well in new households that aren't my own so if I act like this for a while, it's normal. Well, for me anyway. I walked into the kitchen where Harry was sitting and just stood against the wall like an anti-social weirdo. I tilted my face towards the ground and glanced up at him whenever he'd shift. Moments like these make me want to drop dead. Those awkward silences that make you want to scream and break stuff. I'm pretty sure you know the feeling. We've all been through it at one point in our lives.

"Alexis..." Harry said to me without looking up at me. I didn't answer him. Instead, I just looked up at him without moving my face. "You know you can sit down, right?" I didn't say anything. I pulled out a chair and sat down. I opened my mouth to say something but quickly shut it. I wanted to ask him about this morning but I really didn't want anymore awkward tension between us so I decided not to. Agh! Curse you awkward silence!!!! Why...just why? I stared down at my thumbs, which I was silently twiddling, and noticed him staring at me but pretended like I didn't. I wanted to be able to just talk to him but it was impossible for me right now! I understand that he's just like any other guy, except nicer, but it's hard for me to talk to new people. I get shy around new people and in new situations. I don't understand why...I just do.

Harry's POV

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe bringing her here was a bad idea. But then again, if I hadn't of went to get her then she could've ended up on the side of a road dead after being picked up by a middle aged man and raped. I would've regretted it for the rest of my life. Just thinking about makes me shudder. I shuddered. Then she walked in. I glanced up at her then looked back down. We drifted in the silence for about 1o minutes then I finally told her she could sit and she just sat without saying anything. I wanted to apologize about this morning but I didn't want things to be anymore awkward than they already are so I said nothing. These upcoming days were going to be rough.

I looked up at her and studied her. She had seen me looking at her but didn't react. She was staring down at her hands and I didn't blame her. I do this when I feel out of place and I know how she feels right now. I wish I could do something for her. I could make her breakfast I suppose. I got up out of my chair and walked over to the fridge, revealing a supply of food. I found pancake batter and set it down on the counter top. I kneeled down and peered into a cupboard finding the frying pan.

After a few minutes I had made her 3 pancakes and she ate them fairly fast. She might just get along with Niall. I laughed silently at the thought of them pillaging through McDonalds together.
