I woke up to the sound of skyler still crying, her head laid on my chest. I wrapped my arm around her and stroked her her hair with my free hand. She was still asleep but somehow still crying. I started to think about that text... then I remembered my phone in my pocket. skyler woke up wiping her face. skyler sat up off my and ran through her hair and sniffed. I sat up beside her and kissed her on her cheek.
" We're gonna get out of here skyler." I sofly whispered to skyler.
" Yeah right, my dad is physco." skyler forced a smile.
I pulled my phone from my pocket and showed skyler. she laughed and hugged me with joy. I quickly dialed 911.
"Hello, me and my girlfriend are forced to stay in a basement by our father's could you please come rescue us. They have brutally beaten my girlfriend and I got kicked in the face and we haven't eaten yet." I told the police.
I hung up the phone and winked at skyler, "their comming soon."
"I didn't imagine us meeting like this, you know." skyler smiled.
"Me too." I chuckled.
We were so happy that we were leaving this basement soon. skyler rested her head on my shoulder. We started to talk about what was going to happen when we left this dirty basement. We fell asleep and 19 minutes later we woke up to a loud bam! Skyler and I quickly stood up as we heard heavy footsteps on the ceiling. My first guess was that the police was finally here! I wrapped my arms around Skyler as the police busted down the basement door down. Skyler and I smiled as the policeman kindly walked us to the police car, we got in and were tooken to the police station. Nobody said a word the whole ride there.
Skyler and I sat together as we waited for my mom to come get us. As we waited we seen our dad's walk in with handcuffs on them and police officers guiding them into a room. Skyler and I sat quite as they passed by.
My mom came in behind them with tears in her eyes. she ran towards me and hugged me
"Oh shereen, I'm so sorry." my mom cried.
I hugged her back then we stopped hugging and I stood up.
"Mom this is Skyler, she was with me when dad attacked me." I said," Can she stay with us for a while?"
Mom looked at Skyler then me, "Ofcourse."
Later at night Skyler fell asleep in my bed while I stayed downstairs watching tv.
SKYLERS POV:
I stayed upstairs, Shereen thought I was sound asleep but really I'm awake staring at the ceiling thinking of how our dad's can turn us. Then I had to use the bathroom so I tried to get up but I was still sore, I fell to the ground with a loud thump. I hope I didn't wake Mrs.Jenkins, she's asleep.
SHEREENS POV:
I heard a loud thump from my room so I ran upstairs to my room only to find Skyler on the ground groaning in pain. I quickly picked her up and gently laid her on my bed.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, I have to pee though." Skyler said.
I laughed and said, "I'll help you." I picked Skyler up and she wrapped her arms around my neck tightly. I placed her on the sink counter and pulled her pants and underwear down then placed her on the toilet.
"Knock ob the door when your done." I told her.
1 minute later Skyler knocked on the door and I went into the bathroom. she stood up and I was her support as she did. I pulled her underwear and pants up and flushed the toilet. I carried her back to bed and gently laid her down.
"Thank you."Skyler said.
"For what? You had to pee." I joked.
"Not just that."Skyler laughed, "For everything, you saved me."
I smiled and stared at the floor.
"You don't have to sleep on the couch yoy know, sleep with me." Skyler whispered.
I smiled and said, "Im sleepy too." I got in bed with Skyler and wrapped my arms around her.
"Goodnight bae."I whispered in Skyler's ear.
she didn't reply. She was already asleep. She sleeps like an angel.
