Dustin's POVI frantically ran inside the hotel and towards the elevator. I heard someone yell 'slow down' as I ran through the lobby but I didn't turn around to see who it was. I was almost to the elevator but all of a sudden, I felt something grip around my arm and turn me around.
"Ouch!" I said as I turned around and looked up at Veronica's face.
"Why didn't you stop when I told you to?" She asked while panting.
"You didn't tell me to 'stop', you told me to 'slow down'." I replied snootily.
She looked at me serious for a second before asking me another question. "Why were you running in the first place?"
I wondered if I should tell her. I mean yes, she is my best friend; but what if she gets mad for me doing another thing without her. I finally decided to tell her because she's going to find out sooner or later. "I have a...date with...Ross..."
She stared at me for a couple minutes with her mouth wide open. She finally closed her mouth before asking. "Are you serious?"
"Yeah!!!" I replied a little more excited then I should've.
"Okay, calm down." She said before continuing. "When's the date?"
I turned around and started walking towards the elevator again. "It's in a couple of hours, so I don't have that long to get ready!"
Veronica started taking again but I wasn't concentrating on her. As I stepped into the elevator and it started to go, I didn't here her voice anymore so I figured she stopped talking. I turned around to her to make sure she finished talking and I didn't just lose my ability to hear. She was looking at the closed elevator doors with her mouth clenched shut. She looked sort of angry, but I just pushed it off to the side.
We got to our floor and walked to our room. Neither of us talked the whole time, it was sort of awkward. We got to the room and walked inside. I started searching through my suitcase deciding on what I should wear on my date tonight when Veronica's parents walked in. John started talking. "Hey, kids. We were planning on going to the fair today, and wanted to know if you wanted to join us?"
I opened my mouth to respond but before I could, Veronica spoke. "No, Dustin can't come because he has a date that is way more important than us or anything that we want to do!" I stared at her in shock. She continued. "I'll be at the fair waiting for you guys." She stomped passed her parents and out the door.
John and Angie turned around and looked at me with a confused look on both their faces. "I'll go check on her." Said John.
As soon as John left, Angie turned to me and spoke. "So, you have a date, who is it?"
I hesitated for a second but I know I can trust Angie, she's like my second mother, so I decided to tell her. "Ummm...Ross Lynch."
She looked like she was thinking hard when she said. "I've heard that name before. Isn't he like the lead singer of that band 'Star 5' or something?"
"It's R5 and yes. Plus he plays Austin on Austin and Ally." I replied.
"Oh, so a famous boy. Congratulations." She said. "I should probably go catch up with John and Veronica." She finished before walking out of the door.
After Angie left I picked out my outfit. I was wearing a blue button-up shirt, black skinny jeans, and dark blue Vans. As soon as I finished getting dressed I heard knocking on the door. I opened the door to Ross in a black v-neck, brown khakis, and black high-top sneakers.
"Wow, you look amazing!" He said to me.
"Thanks." I said while starting to blush.
"Ready to go?" He asked while putting his hand out and grabbing mine.
I started to blush more. "Yeah..." He chuckled and shut the hotel room door from behind me.
We left the hotel and went to his car. He opened the passenger door for me and I got in. He walked around to the other side and got in the drivers seat. He looked over at me for a couple seconds before asking. "Ready to go?"
I looked over at him and saw the most adorable thing anyone could ever see, a smiling and bubbly Ross Lynch. I smiled too before replying. "Yes." I said.
He started the engine and in a matter of seconds we were on the road. I sat there for a couple minutes just thinking about how amazing this night will be before I remembered, I have no idea where we're going. "So, where are we going anyway?" I asked.
I saw a smile form on his lips before he opened his mouth and said. "Look." I looked up to see us pulling into a gate. Behind the gate was a huge house...no, mansion.
I was now so focused on the sight in front of the car that I didn't even realize that Ross had gotten out and went over to my side and opened the door for me. I guess he let me sit in amazement for a couple seconds before he cleared his throat and I came back to the real world. I looked at him and saw his hand reached out towards me. I grabbed his hand and got out of the car.
I turned towards him as we were walking up the steps to this beautiful place. "Where are we?" I asked.
"We are at my house." He answered then said. "I want you to officially meet my family." I felt flattered by that but also very nervous. I mean, imagine if they don't like the way I act or look. But before I knew it we were already in the entrance way of the house and he was calling for everyone to come to the entryway.
I saw about seven or eight people start heading our way from all different directions of the house. They all looked dressed up. Then I realized most of them were the members of R5, and the other two people were much older than us, I'm guessing those are his parents. The older lady who I'm guessing is his mom walked up to me and hugged me. "It's so nice to finally meet you, Dustin." She said before letting me go out of the hug. "Ross has been talk-" before the could finish what she was saying, Ross cut her off.
"Okay mom, he doesn't need to know everything." He said.
Then I heard someone behind Ross' mom speak. "Oh, you mean like how you can't stop talking about Dustin." He said to Ross. I looked at Ross and Ross pointed his finger at the boy who I know as Rocky, and Ross slid his finger across his neck as in saying that he was going to kill Rocky.
Rocky laughed before saying. "Okay, we'll be upstairs." He left and Rydel and Ryland left too.
Ross' parents were just about to leave the room when she turned around to me and said. "Oh, I never introduced myself. I'm Stormie Lynch, Ross' mom and this..." She motioned towards the guy standing behind her. "This is my husband, Mark." She finished before her and Mark left.
It was just me, Ross and Riker. Riker turned to us and said that he was leaving. Ross told me to follow him and as I started to walk behind him I saw Riker out of the corner of my eye staring at me. I turned to see if he was and sure enough, he was. But not only that, when I turned to him, he winked at me.
I thought that was a little weird but instead of making a big deal about it, I just followed Ross into a room that looked like the living room.
He brought me over to the couch and I sat down. He turned around and went towards the T.V. He brought out a movie and put it in the DVD player. He walked back over to me and sat down.
He grabbed my hand while I asked. "What movie are we watching?"
He blushed which was adorable as he said. "My movie, 'Teen Beach Movie'."
I giggled and he put his arm around me, which had me blushing. We were about half way through the movie when I started to doze off.
