Chapter Two
So the journey begins
After meeting with One Direction I started to feel a little bit better about styling them. They were nice, and down to earth, but not to say immature. Then there was Harry. From meeting him in the park earlier in the morning I couldn’t help but get butterflies whenever I saw him. But I couldn’t have a relationship with any of them. They were my clients. Just my clients.
“Paigey!” I called as I walked in to the flat, dropping my bag on the floor and venturing further inside. “Don’t call me that,” Paige finally replied, coming out of her room, her brown hair pinned up in a loose bun. She had obviously just gotten back from running judging by the sweat on her forehead and the overly sporty outfit she had on. “I bet you’ll let me call you whatever I want after I tell you what celebrity I’m stilling. Or should I say the celebrities?” I said, emphasizing the s on the word celebrities. Her face lit up and she leaned across the kitchen counter, staring at me excitedly. I stood on the other side of the counter, biting my lip. “Tell me now.” she growled, slapping her hands on the counter for a drum roll. “One Direction!” I cried out happily at the top of my lungs. But I only got out the One in One Direction when she screamed at the top of her lungs. “But that’s not all.” I told her, making her quiet down instantly. “Before I went to work today, I stopped at the park to take pictures like I usually do. So I tripped and dropped my bag, and guess who helped me pick up my things?” I grinned, fishing out the picture of Harry from my pocket. I handed it over to her and she held the picture with one shaky hand, the other covering her mouth as another scream escaped her lips.
“You can call me Paigey now!” she cried, jumping up and hugging me tightly. “Tell me I’ll get to meet them?” she pleaded, tears actually coming to her eyes at the mere thought of the opportunity. When I met them I didn’t think much of it at all, but that was before I got to see Harry again. “I’m dressing them for an event tomorrow, so I guess you can co-” I was cut off by her thanking me repeatedly and then skipping off to her room to find the perfect outfit. I sighed and shook my head, my phone blowing up with texts all of the sudden.

My heart began to beat a mile a minute as I looked at all the texts, replying to them all with the same, ‘nice to meet you too’s’. I skipped to my room, not knowing how I could sleep after all that had happened this day.
The next morning I woke up all on my own, getting ready quickly, and then to see that Paige was already waiting for me by the door of the flat. “Finally,” she huffed, yanking the door opening. I scooped up my bag and slung it over my shoulder, walking to my car with Paige, and then driving to the venue that One Direction and I were supposed to meet. They were playing a few songs for charity tonight and I was supposed to give them their regular looks.
Paige and I walked inside the tall building, and we were ushered into a back part of it, then were stopped at a room where all the boys were. “Marie!” they all chorused as I emerged through the door. “Hey guys, I hope you don’t mind, I brought a friend. She’s a huge fan.” I explained. Paige then walked through the door, gripping my shoulder as her hands shook. “I love you guys,” she cried, breathing heavily. “We love you too.” Niall was quick to answer, smiling at her brightly, obviously taking an interest in her. “Any new pictures, love?” Harry asked me suddenly. I jumped, I was so caught up in watching Paige’s excitement I didn’t notice him standing next to me. “Sadly, no.” I answered, putting my bag down. I grinned when I saw the rack of clothes in the corner of the room.
I loved clothes. Any type. The different materials, patterns, designs, it excited me more than anything. Harry followed me as I went up to the rack, leafing through the different clothes. There was a bomber jacket, which I had assigned to Zayn. A striped shirt which I had got to put on Louis. A tight fitting red polo to put on Niall. A striped button down to put on Liam. And to put on Harry I had ordered a navy blazer, with a simple white shirt to put underneath. “You’re good at everything aren’t you?” Harry asked, leaning up against the wall as he watched me. I smirked, shaking my head quickly. “Not at all.” I replied, looking at him. “Tell me, what aren’t you good at?” Harry pushed, that contagious smile appearing on his face. I shrugged. “Drawing, singing, love...” I mumbled, turning to face him completely. “Everyone can become better at drawing, and singing. And as for love? Once you find the right person...you become wonderful at it.” Harry whispered the last part to me, his face close to mine. My heart skipped a beat and I forced myself to look away from him. “You guys have to get ready.” I announced to the other boys. I heard Harry sigh before me, and my heart ached for him. But I could easily be fired if someone from the company found out that I had a thing going on with one of my clients.
I gave each boy their outfits and they went off to change, leaving me and Paige to ourselves for a few minutes. “So what do you think of them?” I asked Paige as I sat down on the now empty couch. She grinned immediately. “That’s a stupid question. Of course I think they’re amazing.” She gushed. I rolled my eyes and smiled down at my shoes. They were pretty amazing come to think of it. “So you and Niall, hm?” I giggled, teasing her. She blushed and looked away for a moment. “He’s nice,” she commented quietly, until we both burst out laughing. We both knew that they obviously had a thing for each other right off the bat. “Well what about you and Harry?” she teased back, her eyebrows wiggling. I shook my head quickly. “Nothing will happen there. I can’t date one of them.” I sighed. She gasped. “So if you could date one of them, you would?” she asked, her eyes wide with disbelief. “Yeah...” I trailed off, knowing I could never lie to her.
The boys suddenly came out just seconds later, all dressed perfectly. I went down the line, adjusting some tops, tweaking a watch, buttoning up a shirt, but other than that they all looked perfect. “So? What do you guys think?” I asked, pretty satisfied with myself. They all looked at each other and then down at themselves. “I think we look great.” Liam spoke up first, the rest of them nodding in agreement. “A massive thank you,” Louis smiled at me. Then a backstage crew member came to tell the boys that they needed to be on stage now. So now my job was done for the day. “Bye Niall!” Paige called as he was the last one to walk out of the door. He back tracked and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek, smiling at her and then making his way out of the door. “I think Niall has found his princess.” I cooed once it was just me and Paige again. “And I think Harry has found his cat.” she laughed. I rolled my eyes and plucked up my bag. That would never happen as long as I had this job.
