he had only posted it two minutes ago. scarlet double tapped the post and went onto his page. she finally decided to do the thing she had been meaning to do for a while.
she pressed the link in his bio and it brought her straight to Soundcloud. she scrolled down to the album titled; 'someone told me theres a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair'.
scarlet shuffled the album and the acoustic guitar filled her ears. the song titled, take it back, brought tears to her eyes. the acoustic guitar and his quiet sad voice made scarlet lose her mind.
she listened to it for an hour on repeat, more tears coming each time the song restarted. her hands trembled and her leftover mascara stained the soft skin under her eyes.
she thought of him playing this in the quiet and dark coffee shop downtown, how everyone would be mesmerized by the boy with brown curly hair and guitar.
