A creepy summer camp

Even though I was almost sure of the reason why Sophia was crying, I decided to ask: It's here where the mystery story begins...- Hello, what's happening?-My mom...- Sofia said crying, before being interrupted by her mother.-Sofia isn't camping with you! There are any responsible adults going, it can be dangerous!Yes, that was the answer I was expecting. Sofia's mother is too protective, she doesn't let her go anywhere. But why didn't she say so earlier? Why did she wait to say it at the last minute?We needed Sofia! We needed her for 3 reasons:1º she was scout, so she was the only one who had already camped. 2º Because she was scout, she had many things that the rest of us hadn't, like a cooktop, for example.3º She was our friend and it just wouldn't be the same without her.-Oh c'mon, it woun't be the same without your daughter.- I said-Sorry, but the answer remains no.I needed reinforcements, soI decided to call out my friends.- Please, let her come with us.- we said together.- It's not worth it, give up, and just go without me.- Sofia said.-Are you sure?- I asked.-Yes, it's ok.- she answered.I was surprised, on other occasions she would have asked us not to go without her, she would have fought for what she wanted, but this time she simply accepeted it very well and even lent us her camping stuff.We divided the stuff that we borrowed from Sofia and put it all in the little spaces that remained empty in the cars.We left her house, but her words kept replaying in my head during the whole trip. Something just wasn't right.
