Prologue:
The wind lightly brushed the fir trees in the ShadeClan territory as a small kit wandered among the brambles, trying to find his way through the territory. The small kit, who had light brown fur with one cream 'sock' on his back right paw, had wandered off from camp in the night, wanting to prove he was experienced enough to become an apprentice early.
At the same time, only a few rabbit leaps away, waited a cherry red menace. A fox. And a hungry one at that. It creeped quietly up to the kit until it was about 3 mouse lengths away. It snarled and the curios kit looked back, clearly surprised. When it saw the fox, it's eyes widened and terror struck its heart. Rain began beating down on the leaves and thunder clashed as the kit began to run. The fox chased after it, a crazed look in it's eyes.
The kit attempted to climb up a tree to escape, but failed. With the wind picking up speed, and the rain pelting down like stones, the kit only got to the third branch, before falling and breaking his front leg. In a flash of lightning the fox was on the kit and tearing it to shreds.
The kit was dead.
