It Takes Two

Chapter 4: Come Just As You Are to Me

*Katy is hospitalized. The doctors say that they don't know what caused her respiratory distress. *

Bonnie: "She's gonna be ok, right?"

Doctor: "We've done all we can. All we can do now is hope."

Bonnie: "Oh god."

*Katy wakes up. She looks around the room.*

Katy: "What the hell?"

Bonnie: "You were having some kind of respiratory distress. You blacked out."

Katy: "Is my baby ok?l

Doctor: "Yes. Your baby is fine."

Bonnie: "You just need to take it easy."

Katy: "I've been doing that! I spend the days at home in bed mostly. the only time I get up is to move around the house, and to go to the bathroom! I've been eating all these healthy foods."

Doctor: "Well I would like you to stay for another 24 hours, then you can go home."

Katy: "Fuck."

Bonnie: "Listen to the doctor, Katy."

*Two months pass. Katy is now three months along. No more problems so far. She is starting to show.*

Katy: "I wonder what the sex of the baby is. If it's a boy, I hope it doesn't end up like his father."

Bonnie: "I wish I could find John and just kick him. Just give him a good kick in his balls. I just can't believe he did that to you."

*Katy's watching tv when there is a knock at the door. She gets up to answer it, and is shocked at who it is. John.*

John: "Hey."

Katy's POV:
He's here. On my doorstep. I can't believe this.
