♥ Chapter 1 ♥
"Alice, hurry up!"My older brother Tyler, banged on the bathroom door.I ignored him and applied black eyeshadow to my eyelids.Today was our first day at Eugene High, and I wanted to make a good first impression. My phone buzzed and I pulled it out my purse,it was my best friend Chelsea.
Her:I miss you
I smiled and texted back saying : I miss you too
My brother knocked again and I sighed and picked up my make-up bag and opened the door."What were you doing in here?"He asked, annoyed."Adding makeup to my face." He smirked and answered."Looks like you splashed mud on your face."And pushed me out the door and closed it before I could smack him.The delicious smell of eggs and bacon led me to the kitchen and I sat at the bar counter."Alice, about time you came out.I thought you went to sleep."My mum joked, placing my breakfast in front me.I stuck out my tounge jokingly and took a bite out of my bacon."So,are you excited about your new school?"She asked, sitting beside me.I sighed"I'll be the new girl and everyone will be staring at me like Im a foreign animal."My mum chuckled and patted my shoulder."No they wont. You'll make friends, and meet new people."I rolled my eyes, she always said this whenever I went to a new school. This was the 5th highschool.I drunk my orange juice and put my plate in the sink.My brother came out of the bathroom, his lip piercing intact, his white tee clinging to his slightly musculed body that I sometimes dreamt about in my sleep. He's not really my brother though,my mum and dad adopted him when I was younger. We didnt get along, and he would always make fun of me.My mum said it was what brothers do but I claimed it was dislike. My brother met my gaze and smirked."Like what you see?"He whispered, low enough so that mum wouldnt hear.I blushed slightly but ran to grab my bag just as the bus pulled up outside.I was as nervous as fuck but I had to make a good impression or I would never get noticed. The door of the bus opened and I stepped on,I looked up and all I saw was stares.I groaned and headed to the back of the bus and sat by myself.Tyler was lucky,he had a Charger and got to drove to school without dealing with the stares. He probably wouldnt get stares, probably drooling.I mentally slapped myself,I couldnt fall for him. That would be wrong, right?

The bus pulled up in front of a grand school that looked more like a mansion then a public school. The students filed into the school bulding and I walked towards it slowly, taking it all in.So this would be my school for the next few months, hopefully.Mum gets tired of staying in the same place after a while, and we would move to a new school..again.I sighed and looked back down, ignoring the murmurs and looks, and headed for the office.Once I entered the building,I gasped.A huge statue of Abraham Lincoln stood in the middle of the 1st floor. My old school didnt even had air conditioning! This school had everything!I found the office at the end of the hallway. It was quite cool and I clutched my jacket tighter around me,a middle-aged woman stood behind a counter, reading a magazine. She had light blonde hair, ivory skin that looked translucent in the light and she wore a dress shirt and a ruby colored choker around her neck. She looked up as the glass door closed behind me.
