Casey Mills bedroomDear Diary,
Hi. My name is Casey Liz Mills. I guess you could call me an introvert. Well, I'd actually prefer if you did because I couldn't possibly describe myself any other way. So, I'm Casey and now that we've introduced ourselves, I want to get one thing straight; by the time your reading this, you should have found it in the New York Times Best Seller section of the bookstore. That's right. I want to be an author. I've worked my whole life toward it. Everything I've wished for, every birthday candle blown out, every shooting star, every 11:11, I wished to have my books published and be known as one of the best authors ever known to humankind. So that's why I'm starting this journal. I need depth as a writer and the only way to do that is to explore my options. I knew this would be a more personal way to experience life as an author. So lest get down to the basics. Like I said earlier, my name is Casey Liz Mills but I'd much rather just go my Casey, or even C if you're feeling fun. I was born on September 1st, 2000. That's right people, I lived through the iconic 2000's. But I choose not to remember that dreadful section of my life. When I was 8 years old, my brother was killed in a car accident, and soon after my father fell ill with depression. He was bed ridden and didn't move for an upwards of 4 months. On January 23rd, 2009, my father killed himself. Bullet to the head. It was the single most traumatic moment of my entire life and always will be. This is one of the first times I've talked about what happened to him in a long while, and soon the whole world will know. Anyway, my mother was absolutely devastated but she told me she had to stay strong, for my sake. My mother is my hero. She had to go through one of the most difficult things anyone could possibly imagine going through and she still kept working 3 jobs so I could afford to eat dinner and wear clothes. When my mom became pregnant, it was a shock to both of us. We didn't know exactly how to handle it, since it was completely unexpected and my mother shouldn't have even been able to get pregnant at the age that she was. But my sister Savannah was a miracle baby. She still is. She is the happiest thing that every happened to my mom and I since the accident and life was looking up. So that brings me to where I am now, living in a one and a half bedroom, one bathroom house. But we are happy. It's family. And I really wouldn't have it any other way. So that is all for this Diary Entry. Just needed to tell everyone a little bit about myself. Well, goodbye.
Signed,
An Introvert
aka
Casey
