Decision: Run

Skyler knew that there where only two options: If she decided to go they would lock her up and most likely Atlas would be left behind, she couldn't bear the thought. But if she ran she'd never stop, better than leaving Atlas.

"Give me fifteen minutes to decide"

She ran upstairs, Atlas right at her heels.

"Go get our pack from downstairs"

Atlas ran down to get it. Skyler shoved her bookshelf over, revealing an alcove in the wall filled with all the apocalypse gear she had acquired over the years. she packed as much as she needed into her backpack. Atlas came up from downstairs and instantly blocked the door, moments later she heard a knock.

"Whats your decision?"

"I still have 3 minutes and 43 seconds"

She looked over the weapons; knives, a hatchet and an old revolver. she grabbed all of them except the revolver. She knew that it would become useless once she ran out of bullets. She hooked up Atlas's bag, it held all the food and lighters, enough for three days. She calmly locked the door, and went over to open the window, after moving the bookshelf back, her and Atlas crept out the window. Closing it gently behind her, they moved to the edge of the roof and jumped. years ago she had placed a hedge at the base of the house just in case something like this happened. She looked over at their car and saw a boy, probably 16, banging on the inside as if desperate to get out. She ran over, pulled out her hatchet, he backed away and she smashed the window. He crawled out.

"Come on we need to get out of here"

"Yeah"

He looked her up and down. She looked 15 maybe 16, the dog scared him a little, but he decided it was better than going back to H.E.L.L.

"Take this and follow me"

She handed him the extra backpack.

She grabbed his hand and whispered "Run"

Sorry for the short chapter and how long it took to get out, I've been drowning in homework. Thanks again to all my readers, but especially Nichodemous and Dia. Thanks and remember to comment.
