~Clouded Mind~
I can't say a lot right now,
But I can sure say how
I came to my senses,
Found out what I did wrong
To make him so strong
Stronger than the both of us
Together or alone
He beat us
Defended to the bone
I can't say how it happened,
Your wouldn't understand
You don't know a thing
About that man
He had the power
To cloud up your mind
He had the strength
To make you think otherwise
To make you think he never did harm
That was a lie
Because in reality all he ever did
Was break your heart and make you cry
His words trapped you
Like a fly in a spider's web
Encaged and enclosed you
Until the very end
Love is non-existent
To us in this world, at least
Maybe love was like a child's for candy
Or a girl's for glitter, lace, and fleece
We couldn't be saved by anybody,
Family or friends
Death wasn't an option, though
No, he wouldn't let us take that,
That was the easy way out
But since I can't say a lot right now,
I'm going to go to bed safe and sound
My conscience and I need a rest
Before these wandering thoughts wake
