I rubbed my eyes and yawned as I woke up from napping. I slowly opened my eyes yet immediately closed it again as soon as I felt the warmth of the sun directing at it. I was squinting while looking at my wristwatch for the time. It is half past twelve. Sigh. I still have more or less then eleven hours of travel but I'm exhausted as hell.
"The cabin crews are now roaming around for your lunch. Please refer to the magazine in front of your seats for the menu. Thank you and have a good meal."
I looked at where the cabin crews are standing now. They're still at the first few rows accepting orders. I then searched for my wallet in my bag so I can order my food and pay easily later. While I was rummaging through my things, I didn't notice that I woke up my seatmate.
"Hey." Jimin-hyung said while yawning and stretching his body. "What time is it? Have you eaten already?"
"It's thirty-five minutes past twelve. We are not even half way there yet." I laughed shyly. "They are serving the food now. What do you like for lunch?"
He searched through the menu and pointed what he wants to eat for lunch. "I'll have this. How about you?"
"I'll have the same as you." I said as I took my money from my wallet and kept it at the back of my phone in between my phone case.
I was looking outside the window while waiting for the crews and let mind fly over the ocean of clouds leveling my sight. I felt so soft while enjoying the view outside. How wonderful it is to build my home on the top of these cotton candy-like clouds. It must be heavenly to be settling in a place like this, away from all the chaos in the world. How do the birds feel while soaring up this high and playing with the colors of the sunrise and sunset? How lucky are they to be able to kiss the rainbows and to communicate with the moon and the stars. I must admit, I am jealous of them.
"Here's your food, Kookie." Jimin-hyung handed me the food carefully. Then we started to eat. "Tell me about yourself. We still have half a day to stay with each other so might as well know each other more." He smiled as he dipped his pork cutlet into the sauce.
"My name is Jeon Jungkook. 20. I'm from Busan and uhm, I have one sister, she's Kimi. I live with her and my mom alone....
My father, he passed away when I was in first year high school." I tried not to sound pitiful and sad so I smiled and asked him back. "How about you?""I'm Park Jimin. 22. I'm from Busan, too. And about my family... I have 2 siblings, a boy and a girl. We live together with both of our parents." He smiled. I know that smile. That smile means thousands of words. He may not be able to tell me about it, but his smile speaks louder than his voice. What is it that he's going through?
"-and I am going to Europe to fulfill my dreams... to be a doctor." Hyung added, speaking heartily. "You? What brought you to Europe?"
"To study, too." I smiled thinking about the reason why I am going to Europe now. "Pilot. My father was a pilot and I thought it's just too early to lose a Jeon in the field so I was thinking to continue my father's path."
"You sound deep." Jimin-hyung commented. "I am hearing your heart."
I smiled shyly at his little yet special compliment. I haven't heard of that from anyone so I can say it's special for me.
"Oxford University?""Yes." He answered.
"I'll see you, then. I promise."
