Chapter 1

Let me tell you some things about me. My name is Jennifer Drew. I work at a Secret Agent Company, named The Bolt Company. Well, I was recruited by one of the member, and I admit that I love working at the company. My best friend also works at the company. She is the one that really want to work there. My best friend name is Kathleen Smith.  My partner at the company is Jeremy James. I don’t really know him, because he never speaks anything besides this mission. And he looks like so not fun guy.

Today is the anniversary of the company. Everyone at the company was free from their job. Me and Kathleen plant to go to an Italy Restaurant. Our office actually was not at the same floor, but we always met up when it’s break time or time for us to go home. We took the taxi to go to the restaurant.

“I hope we don’t order too much. You always eat much, you know, Kath? Foods in the restaurant are expensive. Why don’t we just cook it at home?” I said to Kathleen.

“You have to try to eat in this restaurant. It’s worth it. I will pay three-quarter of the bill.” said Kathleen.

“Why are you so nice, today?”

“It’s our company anniversary. I should be nice to everyone especially you.”

“Okay. Since you pay three-quarter of the bill, I think I’m fine with it.”

Then, we arrived at the restaurant. We ordered some foods, that not really expensive, but the taste is really good. When the servant gave us the bill, Kathleen really paid three-quarter of the bill. After we finished and we were on our way to find taxi, our watch shook. It was a message from The Bolt Company.

From: The Bolt Company

We hope you enjoy your celebration time. I know I said that you’re free from your job and mission today. But we really need to work on this case today. Because this case will take very long time to finish it. If we start to work on this case today, we will finish it faster than if we start to work on it tomorrow. So, I hope you can make it to the company today. Thank you.

”False promise giver!” Kathleen said.

“Well, we chose to work at the company. So we have to be responsible.” I said.

“How can we go there, if there’s no taxi? I hate this situation so much.”

“I think we have to walk to the company.”

I saw Jeremy was walking to his car. He went to the same restaurant, because he walked out of the Italy Restaurant. Kathleen pulled us so we can start walking to the company. If we used car from the restaurant to the company, it took 15 minutes. I would be really exhausted to walk from the restaurant to the company.

On our way to the office, Jeremy’s car stopped beside us. He opened his window. He asked us something, he talked to us, for the first time.

“Did you guys need a ride to the company? It’s a long way to the company.”

“No, we’re fine.” I said.

“Of course we need a ride. Thank you for the offer.” Kathleen answered at the same time that I answered.

“Why won’t you just take my offer, Jennifer?”

“I don’t even know that you know my name.”

“What a shame. Does never speak about something besides the missions; mean I don’t know your name?”

“Whatever. I don’t care about anything that you say.”

“Come on, just take his offer.” Kathleen said and pulled me into the car.

I didn’t spoke anything on our way there. I didn’t like him. The way that he pushed me to take his offer, I just didn’t like it. When I said I don’t want to, that’s it.

When we arrived at the company, Kathleen went to her office. While I and Jeremy went to our office. And we saw a note on the table, beside the computer.

To Jeremy and Jennifer:

Jeremy turned on our computer and he typed Peter Forth. Who is he?
