My name is.... Well, My name's not important now, not anymore. You might all know it after I'm dead anyway, after being left in this place. But what I am really here to talk about is what I want you to remember.
The outside world isn't what they told you it was.
No longer must we hide underground! The war has stopped. There is no more threat, except those who keep us chained locked and caged under the ground, in the dark.
We have all the information we needed to know that up there isn't so bad after all, but we all dismissed it as fiction, imaginations and well-wishes of what could have happened, but that was only because that's what the authorities wanted us to believe.
But have you ever wondered, why do the clocks slowly change? Why do we get hungry at different times each day? Why we have started dying younger and younger as our race progresses? Our race was not created to live under the ground, we are supposed to be up, in the sunlight! Feeling the ground seeing the vivid colours as they grow and change around us!
Oh the sun... The sun's warmth, on your back.. The grass soft underneath your feet. The trees in all majestic glory, towering above us providing shade when we need it.
We have been under the ground so long that we have become more and more sick due to the lack of nutrients and vitamins we need being lost by the barrier of the ground closing us off from the bright blue sky overhead.
And the colours all around, may be a little blinding, or a surprise after the bleakness of the underground we so desperately tried to brighten up ourselves, but it will not last long, for the sheer beauty of it will prevail.
The war we once feared is long gone, the shakes and tremors we felt were just machines left behind to make us think the war was still going on. We have been underground so long and so ignorantly, there are times were we have become a night race, despite that being the time we are supposed to sleep!
So I beg you please. All of you.
Don't listen to them.
Go outside. Above ground. Explore! Don't stay holed up.
And if not for your sake, for all your children. There is a wonderful history that has been left behind for us up here, and we need to learn from it. Otherwise, are we not bound to repeat it? Make the same mistakes?
I beg and plead you, please heed my words.
Otherwise, I may have died in vain.
And Humanity will never again see the wonder of the lights.
