He noticed me (Matt Espinosa)

Chapter 1

I'm siting in math staring at my notebook thinking to myself "when are we ever going to use this." I know that we will never use this yet I'm siting here learning. I stop staring at my notebook to look around the room at other students who are working.

My eyes stop at one particular boy. I've never seen him before, he must be new here. Now let me tell you that I'm really shy and sort of nerdy so I have No friends because I don't "fit in" with the "populars". Anyways I think I'll try and go out of my comfort zone to talk to the new kid.

Oh my god, I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you some details about me. My name is Bethany Day, I am 17 years old. Uhmmm, I have bright blue eyes and a little past shoulder length dark brown hair. (She looks like lily Collins but with blue eyes) I live on my own in my house because my parents died about 3 years ago. And I live in Alexandria, Virgina.

I jump a little when I hear the bell ring. I quickly try and rush to the boy before he gets to far a head of me. I grab his wrist and he turn around.

"Hi! Are you new here?" I ask.

"Uhhhh, Yeah..." he told me.

"My name is Bethany, what's yours?

"Matt, Matt Espinosa" he said.

"What class do you have next?" I ask smiling at him.

"Forensics" he replied.

"Me too! Wanna go together?" I say in excitement.

"Sure" he said.

We walk to the class asking questions about eachother. He's so funny. I can't stop staring at him though, he has blonde hair and greenish eyes. And he's tall.

"Wanna sit by me?" he asked smiling down at me.

"Yeah, ok" I smile.

We sit down and class began. To be honest I was really bored. Matt and I kept passing notes to each other.

B: What do you like to do in your free time?

M: I like to make vines!

B: What's vine?

M: OMG you don't know what vine is?

B: Erm No...

M: It's an app that you post 6 sec videos on

B: Oh that seems fun.

M: It is! you get to make a lot of new friends and you meet tons of new people who like to do what you do

B: Cool beans!!

M: If it's not to straight forward, could I have your number? Your kind of my only friend at the moment..

B: Sure. 681-561-0097 (this is a random # that I made up)

M: Thanks I'll just text you so you'll have my number

The bell rang and the rest of the day went on. The populars found Matt and took a liking to him so he became friends with them too. I mean who wouldn't want to be hanging out with popular people?

It was lunch now and I usually sit by myself so I headed to the table that I always sit at. Then Matt comes over and asks if I want to sit with him and the populars.

"No thanks, but thanks" I say looking at my lunch.

"Please Bethers?" he says in a begging tone, giving me a puppy dog face that I can't resist.

"Fine, but don't call me that" I say.

"Ok.....Bethers" he says teasingly.

We walk over to the popular table and they all stop talking to look at us more importantly me.

"Hey Matt..." Nash says.

"Is it ok if Bethany sits with us?" Matt asks.

"I guess" Cameron says.

We both sit down and I eat my lunch quietly while they talk about who knows what. I look around the table and notice the boys sitting here. Nash, Cameron, Carter, Taylor, Shawn, Jack G., Jack J., Aaron, and Hayes. Some of them are in my grade and some of them aren't.

"So what grade are you in Bethany?" Carter asks me.

"Umm, 11th, I've been going to your school with you since preschool..." I say awkwardly.

"oh..." Carter says quietly.

Lunch was over and so was the rest of the school day. I got everything out of my locker and walked to my car and drove home. I got home and ate some Mac n cheese anf did all my homework. I got ready for bed and by the time I was in bed it was 10:30pm. Before I fell asleep I got a text.

"Goodnight Bethers"

I then fell asleep with a smile on my face.

*tbh thus looked a lot longer in my notebook lol
