Gia's POV

It was raining hard and I found myself soaking wet standing in the middle of what supposed to be our special place. We were supposed to celebrate our first anniversary here in the place where we first met. I thought of this idea and even ditched my friends for our monthly hang out road trip just to be with him this weekend. I laughed at the thought of it and I know in the eyes of others I may look like a loser but what they can't see are the tears that were hidden from the rain. I shouldn't be crying right now since I knew this was coming. It was my mistake to think that this occasion can save our relationship. I walked my way to my apartment to change clothes and maybe sleep my way through this heartbreak and weekend. I walked carefully on the pavement avoiding any accident when I was startled by a loud crack of thunder and slipped. I may have twisted my ankle when I felt a car stopped behind me and heard a door opened. I was about to look behind me to see who it was when I was lifted bridal style and saw one of my friends Mags. He brought me towards the left side of the car and seated me beside Lynn at the back since my usual spot was occupied by John. I was immediately wrapped in a warm towel by Lynn and I saw Mags shut the door beside me and walked to the other side. I was about to say something when I felt Lynn hugged me so tight assuring me that I don't have to explain myself to them. We arrived at my apartment and again, I was lifted by Mags and was brought inside. He carefully put me at the tub examining my feet and thankfully it's not swollen. I told him to change his clothes since all of them have extra clothes in my spare bedroom. After he left I shred all of my clothes and took a warm bath. I spent a good 20 minutes in the shower and when I emerged I saw a set of clothes laid out on my bed with a small traveling bag with my things. I immediately wore the set of clothes and filled the bag with my necessities for the next two days. When I was done, I left my room and saw Lynn and Austin cuddled on the couch while watching T.V. while John is on the floor fighting with my cat Duke. I searched for Mags and found him in the kitchen with his wet hair preparing 5 cups of hot chocolate. I put my bag on the coffee table beside Austin. I went to Mags and thanked him for picking me up and he just smiled at me. I was informed that they were on the way for the road trip and was about to go to my apartment to convince me to come when they saw me walking. Lynn looked up from the screen of the TV and asked if I was done packing so we can get going for the weekend and I said yes. After finishing our hot chocolate we left my apartment with John carrying my bag and shouting incoherent expressions from his favorite game. Me and Lynn is walking side by side while Mags went to the driver side the others are already seated at the back. I went to the passenger seat and was about to climb up when I saw John pouted... I just smirked at him and said that he should probably ask Lynn to move a bit so he can sit at the back alone. Everyone laughed and Lynn moved so she can make way for him. After everyone was settled, we took off.
