The road she travelled was lonely and dark.
But so was her soul.
As she was walking along the river, the cold and lush grass tickled her bare feet.
The eternal silence being broken by water splashing along the bank.
It seemed as if her imagination ran wild.
She feels the music that the wind plays; it's soothing music only reaching her ears.
The beats and rhythms sound soft and melodic, but it's tiring to compare that softness to her heart, lips, and eyes.
All the sights and sounds combined make her cheeks redder with each passing breath.
By this, she rewinds all those memories of "him".
He used to praise her every morning & night waking & sleeping besides her.
Her bright shining eyes were stars to him, his wishing star.
Those soft pink lips were like sweet water to him. Her blushed red chubby cheeks were nothing less than a rose, always kissing them gently.
All of this however was a figment of her imagination.
As the night got darker so did her imagination.
Some say the darker the night, the darker the soul.
She was all alone but it appeared as if she was part of a crowd.
Tears began to cascade down those soft rosy cheeks of hers, forming an ever growing river of sorrow.
She thought to herself, "Oh, what is this feeling that has captured me?"

Happiness? "No!" the soul replied.

Sadness? "No!" the heart replied.

Loneliness? "No!" they both replied.

Darkness? The night smiled & whispered to her with a simple "Yes."

She stood up, wiped away her tears & shouted in a loud voice,
"My inner Darkness!"
"My inner Darkness!"
"My inner Darkness!"
