The girl held a paper castle to the spotlight. Light in her eyes and the world her stage.
"I could see it!" The hopeful girl chimed, "The castle towers grazing the bright blue sky. The nation's flags fluttering in the wind!"
"I can feel it, the smell of the grass and dirt" She paced the stage dreamily, "fresh country side. Over and under the rolling fields."
"I feel the trees, green and flourishing. Birds fluttering happily over head." She flapped her arms like wings, ready to take flight-
"I-"
The girl's proud voice wavered. Her paper castle fluttered to the floor. The spotlight shut.
"I see... empty seats..."
She was out of ideas.
"I see my castle on the floor."
Her voice wavered with despair.
"I see them..." "I see me ..."
"I see ..." "I see us...." "I don't see...."
"I.... Me.... Can't...."
"I...
Can't...
See...
Them..."

A/N
Hello guys,
it has been a long while since I last written something for wattpad but here it is.
I wanted to make a short story about lack of motivation and the myth of 'art/writer's block'
A/w's Block is a slang term for the many reasons a person cannot make something of their particular craft in a given time. These reasons can be fairly understandable such as burn out, but it is also used for lack of motivation and plain laziness. (there are a lot of videos on youtube about artblock go check em out)
So then I thought, rather than writing a story about procrastination, I made one about the more serious one, Burn out.
Burn out is actually a 'kind' of depression in which you cease to enjoy things you really liked.
So what happens when an artist/writer stops getting ideas?
Sad.
Okaayyy, enough about my explanation, (it got longer than my story lol)
(pls. don't check)
Till next time, ciao!
