Hunter stretched his hand in front of his face to stop the sun from gleaming down into his eyes. Looking around, he saw massive trees protruded from the ground around him and dry leaves crunched under his bare feet. There where familiar sounds of birds chirping and insects buzzing around him , but from deep inside the forest Hunter could hear the sounds of unfamiliar creatures lurking. Pulled from his thoughts by the sound of a stick snapping behind him Hunter spun to see what it was and saw a girl In a black cloak duck behind a tree a blue haze appearing behind her as she disappeared . Follow her, he thought to himself.

He chased her passed the tree and down a long untrimmed pathway. twigs and branches struck his face and rocks dug into his feet as he ran. The blue mist lead to an opening in trees but as he passed through the opening the mist disappeared and he was met with something else.  He skidded to a stop at the edge of a cliff and his palms sired with pain as he fell backwards onto his hands. There was rumbling coming from just over the cliffs edge and a soft mist danced across his face. Hunter pulled himself to his feet and brushed the dirt from his hands. His breath caught in his throat; he looked over the cliff and could see a Gothic style castle emerge from the fog, it sat just on the edge of a vast waterfall with two long stone paths reaching the shore on either side. It was beautiful and familiar, like home.

Hunter diverted his attention back to trying to find the girl, the blue mist had completely vanished from his site. the cliff was small and round with not many places to hide. He shuffled closer to the edge and looked down into the rapid, swirling water below. Nobody could survive a fall like that how could she have just disappeared?

"Hello, Hunter." The voice was soft and almost angelic. Hunter turned to see the girl walking out from behind a cluster of trees.

"Who are you?" He asked curiously.  Hunter could see in the shade of the trees that her eyes were glowing a deep blue. Her long brown hair fell gracefully onto her shoulder as she pulled her hood off of her head.

"Well, I'm an old friend." She said with a smile. Hunter raised His eyebrow at her.

"How can you be an old friend if I don't even know who you are?" She stepped closer to him and rested her hand on his chest.

"You will remember and questions will be answered."

"But how, how will I know, how will I remember." Hunter was confused and she wasn't answering his questions.

"You just will." She smiled and stepped even closer to him, making him step back towards the edge "and when you do, come find me i'm closer than you can imagine."

"what does this all mean." Hunter asked calmly.

"Our souls are connected. In any time, in any dimension, through any curse or hex our souls will find each other. There are souls out there just like ours that need saved from a very dark evil and we can only help them if we are together. Do you understand?"  Hunter nodded, not really sure what else to do.

She smiled and nodded her head.  "Good. Now hold your breath."

"What?"

She took another step closer pushing Hunter back off the edge of the cliff and into the swirling water below and everything went black.
