"No, Madeline. You can't make spider eye cupcakes!"
Basil was walking toward her shop; Basil's Barkery, when she caught her coworker; Madeline, trying to make spider eye cupcakes for Valentines Day. Which was in a few days. "Ugh, fine!" Madeline mumbled. Even though Basil knew that Madeline meant no harm, She still had a ferocious temper...(Which was partly why Stacy didn't particularly like Madeline)
Basil let Madeline tend to Croissant while she made cookies. One of Basil's traits was that she could bake as fast as she could run. Which made it much easier. Basil began to bake Dog-friendly cookies. They had melted pumpkin and cinnamon on them. Basil made sure she carved hearts into all of them. Perfect Valentine's Day cookies! Basil thought with satisfaction. A delicious fragrance wavered off the treats.
"Mmm!, What's that delicious smell?" Sounded a voice behind Basil.
Basil turned to see Tucker padding up to her.
"Those are the cookies for Valentine's Day"
"I bet their going to taste as good as always!"
"Thanks, Tucker!"
Basil turned back to the cookies and began to put them in boxes.
Croissant; Madeline's french bulldog licked his lips. "Those sure look delicious... may I have one?!"
Basil sighed and shook her head. "No, Croissant. We've been over this. No cookies until the party!"
"Aww..." He sighed, and padded away.
It seemed like everyone wanted a cookie, but it wasn't Valentines Day, until then... Basil could only wait.
