I groaned as I witnessed yet another female student get rejected by the one and only Kim Taehyung. What was that? The seventh confession to him today? Yep. And lunch hasn't even started.
It was seriously getting annoying on how he would just date the popular and rich and play around with other girls, breaking hearts left and right.
It sickened me to the bone. Did he have a heart? Probably not. Did he care about the feelings of the girls he crushed? Absolutely not.
The reason I hated him so much? He broke my best friend's heart. She cried for months, it broke my heart.
Kim Taehyung was a complete douche. He seriously had no caring or compassionate bone in his body.
And I hated it.
A shadow appeared on my desk, I sighed as I looked up. Surprisingly, it was Kim Taehyung himself.
I gritted my teeth as he smirked, trying to be seductive. I pulled a disgusted face.
"Go out with me," was all he said, which surprised me. Did he expect me to just agree right off the bat? Hell to the no.
Seven girls had he rejected before me. And I knew he had played them all. Now he's asking me out in front of all of them—the monster.
I could feel them glaring at me.
"No." I pulled out a pen for class, which would be started in a few minutes, trying to ignore him while doing so.
Time, please hurry up.
"Come on, babe. I know you want me~" I rolled my eyes at how cringe he was being. How bothersome.
"No," I repeated. I wasn't in the mood for this. It was still morning, I'm not in the mood to deal with people. Especially him.
"Why not~?" He took a seat on the seat in front of me, turning his body to face me, his back to the front of the room.
"Because I hate you," I replied, not looking at him as I looked through my English book. Why was he talking to me? I was just another average girl.
"Aw~, someone's playing hard to get~," he traded as he started pinching my cheeks. What is wrong with this guy?
"I ain't playing," I muttered as I finally found a blank page in my book, readying my pen to write as soon as Ms Kang entered the room.
She's late. Of all the days, why today?
"Oh, come on! You know you wanna~," he winked at me, ignoring all of the glares we were getting.
Did I say 'we'? I meant 'I'. They won't stop glaring at me! It's scary!!
"I know I wanna punch you in the face," I told him, almost doing exactly what I told myself not to do.
'Don't punch him. Don't punch him. Don't punch him' I chanted in my head as his face drew closer to mine.
"Aw~! Is my Eunha angry~?" He chuckled, I inwardly groaned. Why me?
"Leave me alone," I warned. I didn't want to deal with him. Not then, not now, not ever.
"Aw~, come on, babe!" He exclaimed, gaining attention from his 'fangirls'. I groaned. 'They're gonna beat me up again, thanks, Kim Taehyung.'
"I heard you're a player," I then smirked as an idea came to mind. "... i... i challenge you, Kim Taehyung."
He never backed down from a challenge. He was persistent and dumb enough to fall for a simple trick. If he wanted to date me, I was going to make him fall for me. For real.
And then break his heart like he broke Misun's. He was going to pay.
"Let's play a game," I start, thinking about it. "Let's sweet talk. Let's play fight. Let's talk 24/7. Let's tell each other good morning and good night every day. Let's take walks together. Let's give each other nicknames. Let's hang out with each other's friends. Let's go on dates. Let's hold each other. Let's kiss and hug.
Whoever falls in love first losses."
He chuckled as if he knew he would win. "Let the games begin!"
I will win, because I have a burning hatred for Kim Taehyung. And it's not going to be that easy for Kim Taehyung. I will break his heart and stomp on it until it disintegrates.
And he won't be able to do anything about it.
"Let the games begin," I agreed as I shook his hand. "May the odds be never in your favour."
