Beep! Beep!
"Yay, its Monday!" Note the sarcasm.
I stayed in bed for an extra five minutes before I reluctantly pulled the blanket off my petite body. On my way I made sure NOT to look at myself in the mirror cause honestly that's a risk I'm not willing to take.
I removed my PJ and hop in the shower. The cold water hit my skin and instantly I could feel my entire system awaken.
When I was through with my bath I brushed my teeth and went back to my room to pick out my outfit. It was consisted of black ripped jeans with a white top and my black converse. Then I braid my dark brown hair to the side and left two pieces at the front to frame my face. I took up my bag and phone then made my way to my favorite place in the house; the kitchen.
"Good morning mom," I greeted my mother with a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey Patty," I then teased my 15 years old sister which she responded to with a glare.
I sat around the island and started to devour my bologna sandwich. Without even noticing it my mind strayed to the events that had happen in the past two years that led me to moving to North Carolina. The same event that caused my dad to distance himself from me. But I'm back in New York.
I was pulled back to reality by the sound of my mom's voice.
"Lydia, honey. Are you okay?" Mom had a worried look in her eyes. I know that she knows it hard for me to be back here.
"Sorry. I'm fine mom, really," I smiled reassuringly. "What were you saying?"
"I was saying if you plan on getting to school anytime soon ?"
I raised my gaze to the clack above the refrigerator and I was shock to see it was almost 7:30. Not planning leaving my half eaten bologna sandwich, I wrapped it in a foil paper and stuff it in my bag, grabbed my keys and left the house.

Nothing's changed. The school looks just the same as I remember, with it's blue and white walls, crowded halls and black bold letters at the very front that states it's name 'Devonport High'.
As I walked at a very slow pace to the entrance, I had an anxious feeling in the pit of my stomach. It felt really weird to be back here. The two years I've been away left this unfamiliar feeling inside of me.
While I walked these halls I got a few stares and whispers. I know no one but Kaitlyn (my best friend) knows why I left, but I still felt a little self conscious.
My pace automatically increased as I made my way to the administration office. As soon as I arrived I told Ms. Bloomfield the lady at the front desk my name and she then handed me my timetable and my locker combination.
As soon I was out off the office I took a look at my timetable.

Social Studies Mrs Williams
A smile was plastered on my face when I noticed that Math was the first subject of the day. Yeah I know most teenagers hat math but, how can you not love Math? Most people say its hard but, to me its an easy subject. Its the only subject that you can work out your answer. No memorizing of dates, or memorizing of some weird of science name just a few concepts.
