"You"

You caught my attention at hello,
You caught my hearing at your songs,
You caught my sense of touch at just one blow
You caught my heart all along

Little by little
I thought it meant so much more,
All the late night chats and every night a tricky riddle,
To you, it just seemed like an easy chore

Every now and then,
You'd visit me from dusk to dawn
But there was something you never said,
But cover up the suspicion with a fawn

I love you, said him,
I'm sorry, said I,
I finally had the chance to tell him
Yet, my mouth muttered out a big lie

I love you, says the truth
I can't do this, says my eyes
I don't need you, says who?
I missed you, I coo.

Once I have gathered up my courage,
I visit you,
Looking inside, I didn't see any signs of image
But as I look behind,
I see you

Not just you alone,
But another chick to hostage,
Who am I to stop you from the things you want to do,
When I had already lost the chance to accept the truth?
