she was just a girl with messy hair and a messed up life. she would close her eyes each night and see the hell of her worst fears that would one day come to life.
This is the story of how she was saved from her worst hell.
It was the last day of school, only one more day until freedom. She had a friend who she secretly loved with all her heart and more. her love for him stretched to heaven and back. the bell rang.
she opened her locker and stuffed the remaining of her books and binders into her bag. a note fell out and it read "meet me at the field at midnight..... I have something to tell you" with a heart drawn on the back she wondered, was it him?
She did as the note had said. it was midnight and the field was empty..... should she go home, was this all a prank? A shadow emerged from the dark and her heart raced. But there was more then one. they closed in on her like a pack of wolves. to afraid to run her frozen body stood stiff as tears welled up in her eyes. she had been in a fight before, but the horrors of what she saw seemed to freeze time itself.
A gun was held to his head.....
her little brother only seven years old with a life ahead of him. he was about to die and there's nothing she could do. she stood and stared at the smirk on the man who held the gun. the silence held until she heard a shrill cry. it was her own. her arms were held behind her back. one of the figures had hit her hard with a bat. she tasted blood.....
but her brother. he didn't deserve this no child should ever experience this. the man with the gun had said to me "you know princess? you should really watch your mouth" she remembered him he was in her class. he had a crush on her forever and when he got the courage to ask her out she rejected him. was this really what this is about she asked herself? she opened her mouth to say something but she was struck again. she fell to the ground with her eyes still glued to her kid brother she spat blood and felt the tears roll down her face. her brother was silent. that poor kid what was she supposed to do. her ribs were broken she was sure and now she was on the ground. the group of boys kicked her in the back in the stomach. her whole body felt broken as they called her names. the boy who held her down grabbed her arm and reached for her phone.
she couldn't talk but in her mind she was screaming, willing to sacrifice herself for her kid brother. she barley made out the words. more tears came and one of the boys had smacked her across the face.
they called him, the boy she was in love with. they put him on speaker and told her to say hello. she said nothing. all she could think of was her brother. another blow to the stomach. she cried silently and listened to him ask where she was. she never answered. she stood up with the last of her strength. no one held her down this time. shoot me instead she had said. my brother deserves to live. he said something after that that she didn't remember. all she remembered was the sirens in the morning.
her eyes opened and she screamed. why was she still alive she wondered? where was her brother where was the boy she loved she had to say something but.... wait, he was there she felt him grip her hand she looked into his eyes which were stained with tears. and things went black again.
when she woke up again she was in the hospital and he was beside her so was the rest of her family. her brother was safe. but she had to tell him the one she loved what she felt for him even if he didn't feel the same way.
she opened her mouth and was silenced with a kiss.
he knew the whole time.
