Hey there
I'm not sure about you,
But I'm exhausted from running
Round and round and
round and Round
this mulberry bush
Feet slipping, leggs chasing
Round and round and
Around --
How did we get here,
Running? Aimlessly
grabbing each other's tailcoats in vain
Desperately, grasping the truth we know would escape
My breath now, hitches in my chest --
Leggs drag, tired from running
With no aim --
But it is my mind that is drained, weary
Heavy.
Like lead, too heavy
can't run around this bush
Anymore
with no aim
I wish I know why we're running
At all
I want to stop; I really do
I wish you'd want the same thing too
All this time
I guess
Running round this mulberry bush;
Playing the game which rules
We do not know
We were trying
So hard --
My breath still would not come --
To face each other
To say things we had to say
Wouldn't it be easier, now
If you'd stop looking away?
