Chapter 4

Glancing around the class,I see Jenny and she winks at me. I feel Nick's eyes on me as I sit but didn't bother looking his way. My hormones are at it again..shit!!
The class begins but I can't seem to focus.
"Hey...Alicia am so sorry about yesterday, it's just that I was so pissed off and suddenly you bumped into me making me let my anger out" Nick whispers to me calmly.
His voice is so calm, I could explode if someone told me that he'll be this nice today.
"Yeah..it's okay I forgive you" I blush and turn my face away so he won't notice it.
He squeezes my palm and smiles. I can't stand him again, he makes my hormones rise. I slowly slide my hand under his, removing my hand.
He frowns and looked surprised "I know I can be a jerk sometimes" he laughs at me.
"You're coming to the party this Friday??"

"Nick Barry is there anything you want to share with the class please?"Mr Charles asks with a stern look on his face as he stares at both of us.

"It's Nick Martins asshole and get that that right!!!!" Nick shouts as he stands up and storms out of the class leaving my jaw fallen.
I guess this is the Nick I met yesterday, I think if he doesn't like his stepfather, that doesn't mean he should make it obvious and now Mr Charles is just staring at the door. I pray he doesn't get into detention or any trouble....Alicia  Smith when did you start caring about Nick ;)
"Class is over" Mr Charles says as he leaves the class making me forget my thought.

Geez!!, I walked over to Jenny and tell her how Nick apologized to me, she said she was surprised and didn't understand why he acted that way and I explained to her about how he's mother got married to another man.
We walk to the ladies and met some girls discussing about a party on Friday, that must be the same party Nick was asking about. I watch as Jenny adjust her makeup, she asked me if we could have a sleepover at my house.
"Sure Jenny, why not..my home is yours too and my mom would be so glad to see you.." I reply smiling at her.
Jenny doesn't really stay at home because her parents are always fighting, sometimes her dad comes home drunk calling out her name to open the door, so she prefers having sleepovers at people's house than watching her parent fight daily. Her mom owns a restaurant and she is the one feeding the family.

Jenny waves at me as we leave the ladies room "Bye Alicia, I have to help my mom at the restaurant...be expecting me this night" she says as she walks away."Bye" I shout holding my books in my hand and stare at the way her white dress sways and the way her thin legs move in the black heels with feather-like strap she's wearing. She really fits to be model.

"Hey there...it's Alicia right??"
"Yes" I say turning back...my jaw just dropped, Jack!!!,he's so hot in the bright light.
"Hmmm...I was wondering if you could attend a party at my house this Friday,it'll be so fun" he asks with a beautiful smile on his face.
The last time I attended a party was 9th grade, it was so awful and the cops came searching for drugs which they obviously found...I was taken to the station and my mom was so disappointed as she came to bail me out, I felt so sad and promised her I won't attend any party till after high school. Now this???...but it seems it going to be fun since everyone's been talking about it..even Nick's going to be there!!!....Alicia Smith what's wrong with you.
"Uhmm...I'll try, just text me your address" I say staring into his eyes, I noticed he has a slight cut at the side of his eye.

"Your number, I guess??" he asks with his hands in his pocket.

"Shit my phone!!" I mutter
"Just write your number in this book" I say trying to pick a book from the ones am holding..
"Do you have a pen"

"Yeah..I guess" he says and brings out a pen from his pocket.
He writes down his number as I watch how his firm hands move, he's so strong.
"Bye Aly...I'll pick you up at your house Friday night"

"Yeah..bye Jack" I wave at him.

The bell just went off..thank God school over.
I walk towards my car waiting for Dre, I turn and see him....with smiles on my face I hand him the phone.
"Thanks so much, I'll be expecting you this night" I say hugging him and walking to my car.
I turn on my engine and smile at Dre as he waves me goodbye.

The drive home was just pleasant, no traffic and accidents (not like I have experienced any on my way home).
I park in the garage and walk towards the door but it's locked, looking around...I grab the key under the flower vase beside the front porch....my mom always keeps the key there for cases like this but I have to be careful and watch if people notice me when taking the key. I enter the house as I unlock the door.

I run upstairs and have a quick shower, can't avoid to be stinking after all today's stress.

Jenny just arrived and we've being having makeup  sessions, we moved downstairs to watch a movie. We finally chose to watch BAD BOY FROM HELL after all the arguments...I can see Jenny's really focused on the tv but all am thinking of is my phone.
"Good night Licia and have fun Jenny, I have to sleep early...you understand why Licia. See you girls tomorrow." my mom says as she goes upstairs.
"Good night mom" I smile at her
"Good night Mrs Smith" Jenny winks at me meaning we have the whole night to ourselves. I really do enjoy her company.
Well... my mom is having an interview as a nanny, she said the money they're paying her at the bank is not enough.
I know the money is quite enough for us but she doesn't want a situation whereby we'll ask her for something and she won't be afford it.

"Jenny guess what??" I asked my best friend while she's still focused on the tv.
"What?" she turns and gave me this look that says "be quick about what you want to say, I really need to watch this movie"
"Well my mom allowed me to go to the party if you are going and you're going so am going!!!" I say the words with excitement.
"Really!!!..that's great then" Jenny says hugging me and turns back to the tv. Well..I asked my mom if I could go to the party when she arrived this afternoon and she was about to say no until I begged her and convinced her I was going to take care of my self and told her Jenny was going, she finally accepted after all the begging. I don't know why my mom really trusts Jenny, I guess it's because her mom and my mom are good friends.
I glance at the clock, it's 10:47 and Dre hasn't brought my phone.
After some minutes, I finally decide to concentrate on the movie.
"Jenny!! you've almost finished the popcorn" I shout forcefully dragging it out of her hands "gimme that!!!"..
We both laughed then I heard a knock on the door..that must be Dre..my mind tells me as I stood up to get the door.

"Hey Dre!!!..come in, me and Jenny  were just watching a movie, you can join us if you want" I say opening the door. He smiles as he enters, I peep outside and see his red sports car before shutting the door.
I join him on the large couch and I notice he's between Jenny and I.
"So.....how's the phone??" I ask with curiosity and cross fold my legs on the couch.
"It's all done, it wasn't really a big thing..twas just a little crack, here you go" he says handing me phone.
I stare at my phone and hug it like its being ages since I've seen it.
"Thank you soo much Dre, what will I do without you" I say hugging him tight and close to me.
"Uhhmm...Alicia? am about to go" Dre says like he's about to choke and coughed. Omg! and squeezing him and I think he can feel my boobs on him...Alicia Smith you need to act mature..my mind tells me.
"I'm sorry, I just got so excited" I say restraining myself from him. He stands up and I escort him to the door.
We exchanged goodbyes and I shut the door.
I charged my phone and soon as it came on I ran towards it seeing a lot if messages.
