Samantha sat in the hospital waiting room crying into the sleeves of her baggy red sweater. Two police officers sit on the chairs next to her. The female cop placed a hand on her shoulder gently. "Miss Rose?" the male called the girls name gently. she looked up. "do you know who did it?" she asked quietly. "No, but we know that someone had to have been in your home to get the stone in her stomach. The other two came from outside the home." the officer said carefully. the doctor walked over the the three of them with his head down. "will she be ok?" Samantha asked quickly standing up. "im sorry miss but your mother is no longer with us" her eyes widened and she fell back into her chair. "Do you have any relatives you can stay with?" the female officer asked the teenager. "no." she said quietly as tears slid down her freckled cheeks. "you could stay with me and my daughter if you'd like? im carmine by the way." the female officer asked. samantha nodded. "o-ok" the officer smiled and took her hand.

Samantha was dropped off at her old home to pack while Carmine went to get her daughter and groceries. Samantha walked into her room only to see a male with leathery white skin and charred black hair looking at the photos of her and her brothers. "h-hey!" she yelled at the intruder. the male quickly turned around only to reveal a horrifying scene. His eyelids seem to have been burned off and his cheeks dripped with blood coming from a carved smile. The females breath hitched as her eyes widened out of horror. The male pulled a knife from his bloody white hood pocket. "Hello there" he purred taking a few steps closer to the female. in return she took a few steps back.
She heard the voice again "its ok to hurt him he will be fine child" the male got closer and she remembered the switch blade in her back pocket of her black shorts. when she reached for it the male threw his knife and she slid out of the way as the knife cut her once knee length hair to mid back length. The kitchen knife got stuck into the wall a pile of gold and brunette hair sitting under it. Samantha flipped her knife into position keeping her eyes on the icy blue eyed male. "The name's Jeff" he said running at the girl. "And you are?" he tried to land a punch on Samantha but she dodged. "Samantha." she kicked him in the stomach and he grabbed his knife sloppily slashing at her. She got a small gash on her cheek. He tripped her when she went to run and she slid into the wall. he crouched in front of her. "Thought you could get away princess?" he growled. the voice returned "hit him in the throat." she quickly punched him in the throat got up and ran out of her old home.
She tripped over her already packed suit cases. Carmine and a teenage girl sat in the car in front of Samantha. Carmine got out grabbed a few bags and st them in the trunk as Samantha did the same. They then got into the car and drove to Samantha's new home.
