Kim's POV
I woke up to a door being slammed. I heard footsteps in gravel headed away from the car. Wait a second MY house has gravel!! I thought. Maybe if I can just get out of this trunk I can get to the neighbors and get help. I pushed against the hatch but it didn't budge. I remembered reading somewhere that most cars have a glow in the dark latch that will pop the trunk. I looked around for such a latch but found none. Either they had removed it, knowing it was there or the car was so old it didn't have one. I looked around for any way out but couldn't find any. After a couple minutes I heard the crunch of shoes on gravel, but this time there was more than one person walking around. I wondered if it was the men or the neighbors. I weighed the options. If it was the men I could make them really mad, but if it was a neighbor they could get me out or at least call the police. I was so scared at that moment I didn't think I could so much as whisper so I kept quiet.
The footsteps got closer. I heard and felt two doors open and close. Then the car started. I let out a sigh, glad I didn't yell for help. I could feel every bump as we started moving down the gravel path. we stopped, probably at the turn to the highway and we turned left. Suddenly I could hear sirens getting closer. I began to gain hope. They're coming for me. they heard my message. I lost all my fear. I had to let them know i was hear. I started kicking the door and screaming "HELP!!"
I heard the Police sirens shift and start to fade. My spirits sank. They missed us. I stopped screaming and pulled myself into fetal position. The realization hit me. I might never see my parents again, or Paige, or Grandma, or anyone. What if I'm stuck here forever? With that I broke into tears, crying at all that I had lost. We drove for hours I eventually fell asleep from lack of anything else to do.
Narrators POV
After a few miles of traveling, Ryan and Neel started talking about what to do with Kimberly. "We could ransom her."
"Yeah right, she's seen our faces. She wouldn't hesitate one moment to turn us in. No she'll have to stay with us. "
"She could clean up and do all the work so we don't have to."
"Oh Neel, always thinking of the simple things, like cleaning. Why not use her to her full potential. I think it would be fun to watch he squirm." Ryan giggled in delight at the thought. "Of course she'll have to be punished for the scream, and banging on the trunk, and calling the police, and for pulling that knife out on me. This girl is quite a naughty one. She better learn some respect and real soon too."
They continued on there drive after a couple hours they stopped and got food. They decided Kim didn't need any if she was going to be so disrespectful. With that the started on their way.
Kim's POV
I woke up to the slamming of car doors, again. I thought about trying to get someone attention but decided against it thinking it might make my kidnappers more angry at me.
After a while the car door opened and slammed shut again, and I caught a whiff of McDonalds food. I love food, any food, and right now I was really hungry. I hadn't eaten anything since the party. And I don't really think cake counts as dinner. I waited hoping some food would be given to me, but none came. I was forced to smell the amazing food but not see or taste it.
After a couple of hours the car stopped again. I was in the middle of thinking about my family, did they miss me? Did they even know I was gone? I was contemplating these questions when the trunk popped open. It was pitch black outside. I hadn't realized how much time had gone by.
Someone grabbed my hands and hauled me out of the trunk. I was about to scream when someone stuck what tasted like a dirty sock in my mouth. GROSS. "Don't even think about it." The gruff voice said as he pushed me roughly at a porch. I tripped and fell my arms yanking up in his grasp.
"Neel, grab the door. "
I saw the smaller of the two walk towards the door and opened it. He must be Neel. "Where do want her Ryan?"
"I think the basement will do just fine." The one holding me, Ryan, replied as he flipped the light switch on.
After a few seconds of adjusting to the light I took in my surroundings. There were pizza boxes, dirty laundry, and dishes everywhere. I could smell, and see, mold everywhere. From the roof to the socks in the laundry piles. It was disgusting. In the corner I saw some building supplies. Hammers, nails, saws, drills, and lots of wood.
Ryan pushed me roughly to a door, which Neel kindly opened. Then I was pushed head first down a long flight of stairs. Thankfully I landed on your butt. And not my head. The Ryan came tromping down the stairs, with a rope in his hands.
He grabbed my hands and tied them like handcuffs with a rope in front of my body. Well that's stupid I could easily untie the rope with my mouth. He dropped me back on the ground and went over to Neel who was holding a large hook and a drill.
Ryan grabbed the supplies and went over to the only wooden wall and made a hole for the hook at the very top of the wall. Then he carefully screwed the hook in making sure it ended sideways. Once finished he came back to my and pulled me by the rope to the hook. Then he grabbed my chest to lift me in the air. I did not respond well. I started kicking and screaming at him. He just laughed and ripped me to the ground. Then he grabbed me by my waist and lifted me so the rope was positioned on the hook. Then he just let go. I fell and my arms were jerked upwards by the rope. I grunted in pain and glared at Ryan. He then finished screwing the hook again so that it was up against the ceiling and their was no way I could get the rope off.
He stepped back examining his work and smiled. Neel then walked over with a second rope and twisted it around my lags so that I couldn't move them. Neel stepped back and Ryan stepped forward again.
He then proceeded to grab my chest and squeeze which really hurt. Then Neel came and took one side while Ryan did the other. I squirmed and tried to kick but the ropes held my legs stiff. It was humiliating and painful. I was on tears when they finished. But honestly I was glad they didn't do anything else to me.
