TWELVE YEARS LATER
I was in the woods when I heard something in the bushes, I grabbed my spear, while silently move closer trying to get a better look at whatever was behind the small shrub. And suddenly something leaped out from under it. "Oh thank God, it's just you" I said with a sigh of relief. "Of course it's me, who do you think it was?" Said Aikaterine my guardian, or so she told me on my tenth birthday, but I like her she's the best. Ive known her for as long as I could remember, I hope she'll always be there for me. She wanted to talk to me about something, I could see it in her eyes. "Is everything ok?" She could tell I was concerned. We walk over to the house into the kitchen where we sat. "I've been hiding something from you" she didn't make eye contact.
"It's okay, I won't get mad" I said insuring her
"Well..." She paused
"Your not normal... I don't mean your crazy! Remember when I told you I'm your guardian well there's more to that story." She explained to me how I was sent to earth very young and my parents who were apparently "gods" sent her to watch over me. "There's something else" she said very quietly almost like she thought someone was going to hear her, the fear in her voice got stronger as she continued. " scattered around the world there are many offsprings just like you, only you and those offsprings can stop the rising of the mighty Cronus!" She said stated we needed to go as soon as possible and find them. "Who Cronus?" I was very confused but before I knew it I was packing my bag and heading to the town to meet a man named Agapios who would take us to a boat that would be sailing to Rome. It was a long boat rid, two days, I met a lot of people though and learned a lot about different countries like Macedonia. When we finally arrived a woman with a girl about my age was standing on the dock calling for Aikaterine. She seemed extremely happy to see us. "Hello Euanthe! long time, no see, how have you been?" Said Aikaterine also very happy to see her. They talk and talk all the way to Euanthe's home while me and the other girl were silent through out the ride, we got there faster than I expected, I guess traveling by donkey was more effective than horse. I was shy to walk into there house without Aikaterine so I waited until she was finished talking or at least ready to go in, when we did go in I was amazed by their home, it was beautiful, they even had three servants, three more than I had. Aikaterine left to the market one morning and not long after Euanthe asked me and laryssa to come down so she could talk to us. It was about the Gods. For some reason the more we talked about it the less I believed it was true but I had to listen anyway, we were going on another trip to Malta, a small island off the coast of Rome where we would meet a girl named Abigail, we were told she was like us, but I still don't believe it. I helped laryssa pack, barely talking to one another I'm surprised we actually got the work done. When Aikaterine came back we all left to catch the boat. I stood up to look out to the ocean and so did laryssa we started talking about the whole idea of Olympus, when the entire conversation changed she told me about her friend going to Malta and never coming back and that everyone in the town believed it was because she messed with a Cyclops. Do Cyclopes even exist? I thought it was just a myth. Well if it was true, are we ever getting back to Rome, safely?!
