"That Was An Amazing Response." Hayes Grier Imagine

My boyfriend, his friends, and I were all on our way to Coachella. Cameron was driving, Nash was in the passengers side, I was next to Hayes, and Jack G and Jack J were in the very back (yes, we were in a mini van.). I wasn't really into anyone who was performing but I wanted to spend more time with my boyfriend. I like Mac Miller, Lorde, Lady Gaga, and Kehlani. Hayes and I were texting because everyone would want to get into out business. Everyone was in their own conversation but as soon as we talk, all eyes and ears are on us.

To be honest, I didn't just go to spend a little more time with Hayes, they were having a small meet and greet thing and I didn't want anything to happen. It's not that I don't trust him, I'm just scarred that someone prettier than me will swoop him away.

We got to the venue and we all hopped out. Everyone wanted to see Gucci Mane on the main stage but I wanted to see Lorde at her meet and greet since she was performing later. The boys wanted Hayes to go with them and he was really conflicted. I knew he wanted to see Gucci Mane but Hayes also wanted to be with me.

"Hayes, you can go with the crew." I said with sympathetic eyes.

"No, I know you want to meet Lorde and I don't want you to be alone."

"I will be fine babe. We can call each other. Just text me where your meet and greet and I'll just meet up with you. Okay?" I grabbed his hands.

"You sure?" He asked.

"I'm sure babe." I said and then kissed him.

"I love you." He said

"I love you more." I replied as I walked away in the direction of Lorde.

Hayes called me as soon as he was in his spot to see gucci mane. I was on the phone the entire time but when I got close to the front of the line, I told him that I was putting him in my pocket. I got my autograph and made my way to where the meet and greet would be.

Hayes and I continued to talk.

"The meet and greet is starting soon, so I'll put you on the table." He said.

I just listened to what was going on, which was a jumbled mess.

"OMG Hayes I love!"

"Can we have a picture?"

"Can you sign this?"

That's all I really heard along with some small talk. But one conversation really hit me.

The conversation between this girl and my boyfriend was normal until I was mentioned.

"So...you're single, right?" She asked.

"Haha, no. I'm still in a relationship."

"How are you still dating that...thing?"

Hayes kept quiet.

"She's clearly just using you. She's pretty ugly as well."

I froze, not knowing what my boyfriend would actually say.

"You don't know her personally. If your head wasn't so far up yourself you'd be able to see that she is the kindest human being on this planet and I'm the one that's lucky to have her. If all you're going to do is insult the people I care about, do me a favour and please stop being my fan."

I heard a little hmpf as I assume she walked away.

I hung up the phone and continued to walk to where they were.

I got sight of my boyfriend and ran and jumped on his back.

"That was an amazing response to a hater." I said and then kissed him on the cheek.
