We all heard the shot and turned to Zane,he looked calm and had holding his side he yelled through the coms in our helmets "LEO BIG BLUE ONE LEFT ARM."
As I lined up the shot and pulled the trigger, I heard the kid yell"NOOOOOOO.) then all I heard was colin grunt and a body drop.
I looked up from my rifle to see colin on the ground in front of the blue one with a hole through his chest. I hear three more shots and the one who was holding Zane drops to the floor with a thud. Blind with rage I take out my DT-12 pistol and ask Zane for cover fire over the com as the spray oh covering fire ensues I run up and grab the corpse of my fallen comrade and begin to run back. I am running back when all of a sudden autumn yells "Drop leo NOW." As I do I watch as she fires a grenade barrage distracting them for long enough for us to get back to our ship colins corpse in hand.
We are flying away in our Acclamator-class Assault Ship Mark II (seen above) Autumn says "what are we going to do with him?" I reply with what I think is the best idea " We should take him home to his parents they will be proud knowing he died serving the empire.".
Autumn agrees and we set off for Serenno(a very mountainous planet with very lush forests).
We land near colins parent's place and walk up to the door. As I'm about to knock on the door it swings open and an elderly lady swung open the door. She looked up at us and said "Hello may I help you?".
She took a look around and saw Zanes wound and knew what was going on she began to cry. Her husband came out to investigate a saw us "Did he die with honour?" He asked Zane replied "yes sir a great deal.".
They then asked us to leave the body with them because they where going to burry him, his mother then asked us to leave.
We got back to home base and were greeted by our officer" I'm sorry to hear about colin but we brought in someone new to take his place in your squad." I looked up at her and asked "name?" She smiled and said meet Lauraine McNeely your mew tactician. She stepped out on to the platform greeted us with a "hello" from that moment on I knew we needed to make adjustments to our plans.
