kiwi's POV

i walk up to my room and try to look around to find a book to read. i had just been grounded off of my phone for one of the stupidest things, getting a 50 on my homework.

luckily it was only for tonight but it's still bad, because it's going to be boring and all.

my parents are those type that expect you to get a B or higher on an assignment. the bad part about this was that it was a 3 question assignment. i got one wrong. and i get a bad score. it sucks.

yah yah i'm a little crybaby who complains a lot. i am. but so what? we all are at times.

i start searching through the books again to find, every single book i have is boring, or already read 1-3 times.

walking over to my bed my dad walks in. i turn around. "yes dad?"

"dinners ready, come eat."

he shuts the door and walks away. i give it a minute or so then walk downstairs. "what's for dinner?" i ask walking into the kitchen.

"pulled pork beans and mashed potatoes with peas."

"OH MY FAVORITE!!"

"that's why we made it." my dad says smiling at me. "why are you guys being nice? i just got grounded."

"well, we have something to tell you at dinner."

"it is dinner."

"while we are eating."

"okay then."

my mom makes 3 plates. i'm not an only sibling but my brothers have moved out and live with their girlfriends. i WAS the only girl though.

i grab my plate and sit down at my seat at the table. "can you grab me a soda, i forgot."

"you sure do forget things a lot." my mom says grabbing me a soda from the fridge. she walks over with her plate and my drink sitting next to me at the table. she places my drink next to my plate as she starts eating.

dinner goes by okay until i reach the part where they tell me something. "okay, we have news. you could take it bad or good. it matter how you think about it."

me-"okay."

mom- "you're. moving in with your brother."

me-"why?"

dad- "because your mother and i have to go on a trip with work. for a while."

me- "oh okay. jay or austin?"

mom- "austin of course."

me- "okay."

mom- "and we've decided, that since you have been getting some good grades."

dad- "and since austin doesn't live near your school now, we signed you up for the magnet program at ft. luke middle."

me- "really!?!?"

mom- "yes, but if your grades start dropping i've told the principal to switch you to normal schooling, because there is no school close to aus."

me- "okaayy"

dad- "now finish your dinner and go pack. we're dropping you off tomorrow after school."

me- "okay."

i was happy. i know i wasn't showing it that much but i was. i got to live with my brother and his super sweet girlfriend!

no more getting grounded very often.

no more expectations of straight A's
