The New Generation of Pretty Little Liars

Tilly Cavanaugh

"Rise and shine sleeping beauty!" Spencer Cavanaugh cried, walking into her daughter, Tilly Cavanaugh's room, pulling the curtains open.

"Uh, sunlight, too bright! Turn it off!" Tilly moaned, pulling her covers up over her head, accidentally pushing some of her dark brown, shoulder length hair over her bright blue eyes.

"That, my dear, is called day time, as in school!" Spencer laughed.

Tilly pulled the cover down to her waist, looking at her mother, who was now standing at the foot of her bed.

"You know, if that statement is an attempt to get me up, it's not working."  Tilly laughed.

Spencer joined her in laughter.

Tilly sat up. The she got out of bed and hugged her mother.

"Morning sweetie." Spencer said, kissing Tilly on the cheek.

"Good morning ladies." Toby Cavanaugh said, walking into Tilly's room.

 "Morning dad." Tilly smiled, hugging her father.

Tilly puled away and Spencer walked up to Toby, kissing him.

"Ew, seriously guys, save it for in front of Ben!" Tilly said, referring to her thirteen-year-old-brother.

Spencer and Toby laughed.

"Go get read for school." Spencer said.

"Okay." Tilly said.

Spencer and Toby left Tilly's room.

Tilly then walked to her closet. She grabbed out her white tank top, her dark blue, denim high waisted shorts and a pink see through t shirt to put over the top of the tank.

When Tilly grabbed all of her clothes, she walked to the bathroom and had a shower.

Once Tilly was out of the shower, she put on her shirt then her shorts, tucking her shirt into them. Then She put on the pink shirt and blow dried her hair, before tying her brown hair into a bun that sat at the back of the top of her head. She then walked to her room and put on her black flats that had a small silver bow at the top of them.
Tilly grabbed her backpack and walked down stairs.

When Tilly was down stairs, she saw Ben laying on the sofa in the living room, watching T.V.

“Hey Benny. Feeling any better?” Tilly asked.

Ben smiled at the sight of his sister.

Even though the two of them did have a falling out from time to time, they were extremely close.

“I feel like someone’s come at me with a hack saw!” Ben exclaimed, sitting up.

Tilly laughed, going over to sit next to her brother.

“Be careful, I don’t want you to get sick!” Ben said.

“Hey, I gave you the chicken pox when you were six, I owe you!” Tilly laughed. “Seriously, I could stay here and help mom look after you when dad goes to work.”

“What are you avoiding?” Ben looked at her with his ‘What now?’ look.

“What are you talking about?”

“Tills, out with it!”

Tilly sighed. “Dex. I’m avoiding Dex.”

Ben laid back down, putting his feet on Tilly’s lap.

“The guy’s a douche!” Ben said, his big brown eyes, staring up at her. 

"Ben, you're thirteen. How did you learn to talk like that?" Tilly asked, adding a bit of a laugh.

Ben looked at her with his 'Seriously?!' look. "I have you as a sister!"

"Point taken."

"Have you told mom and dad?" Ben asked.

"Yeah."

"And..."

"And... They're really mad at Dex."

"I don't blame them!"

Tilly looked away from ben. He sat up.

"Tilly! Please don't tell me you're on his side!" Ben said, looking extremely concerned.

"I'm not! no way! But I dated the guy for 6 months." Tilly sighed.

"Yeah, then he told you he loved then kissed some chick he's known five minutes."

Tilly looked at him, this time she had the 'Seriously' look on.

"Sorry," Ben said.

"It's okay. Your right. Well, I guess if I'm not needed here, I'll be going to school. Bye!" Tilly said, jumping up off of the couch and planting a kiss on Ben's head.

"Bye." Ben replied, changing the channel on the T.V with the remote.

Tilly walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator, grabbing out the bottle of water she put in there the night before. As she closed the refrigerator door, she saw Spencer walk into the kitchen.

"Hey, I'm leaving now." Tilly informed Spencer.

"Okay. Have a good day sweetie."

Tilly hugged her mother and kissed her on the cheek.

"See you when I get home." Tilly called, walking out the front door.

She walked to her  car which she had gotten as a sixteenth birthday present two months ago. Getting into her car and starting the engine, Tilly left for school.
