the beginnings of the sky

Before there was anything there was darkness. And in this darkness a creature grew. When she understood who she was and what she was she called herself Shimm. A simple name not meaning much at all but it stuck as soon as she said it out loud.

As an uncountable number of years passed - mostly due to the fact that Time had not been created yet - Shimm felt herself grow lonely. So lonely infact that it almost broke her, corrupting her permanently. It was then that she began to craft another being, a being of light.

When Shimm had finished crafting this being of light, she called him Cad. And as Cad grew small dimples and spots of brightness mixed into the darkness. And as Cad became stronger and more intelligent, Shimm fell in love with him.

Cad and Shimm stayed together in the darkness with the stars for many, many years until finally a small being appeared. She looked to be made of gold and she gave off a soft tick. She introduced herself to Cad and Shimm as Time.

Time could see. Not the way that Cad and Shimm could see, but in a much more special way. She could see every possibility and every future that might happen. From this she knew that she must create something. Living creatures that would exist unlike the 3 beings that currently existed.

Time crafted these creatures as she saw Shimm and Cad. Long ears and horns with thin frames and magical abilities similar to the ones the 3 Gods possessed but to much lesser degree. Time presented her creations to Shimm and Cad as Silverlings.

With these new creatures skittering around on a small mass of rock and dust and ice 2 new gods were born. The twins Tak - the new god of emotion - and Tam. - the new goddess of logic -

Not long after the twins were created more small gods and goddesses appeared and Time welcomed them all with open arms. She quickly noticed however, that certain gods were not getting any bigger. She feared for them knowing that if they didn't grow soon they would fade into oblivion.

So Time began a new creation. She took much more of herself into this one, instead of putting it together all at once she gently pushed the small creatures that were beginning to form, in the​ right direction. Soon humans began to prowl a new small planet.

The humans were a much more emotional species and Tak grew along with many others. Not only were gods becoming stronger but new gods were being created.

With emotion came anger and with anger came war and with war came Cassy. She was fiery and hot headed wanting nothing more but to fight a good fight. Cassy and Tak became fast friends delighting in the spectacular emotions of the human race.

And so The Sky was made. Or thats what they called it at least. The huge city above all that contained every single one of the gods. The three rulers Shimm, the high queen of the gods, Cad, the high king, and Time, their advisor, ruled fairly and efficiently.

Time was confident in this fact. Just up until she wasn't...
